There are few coaches who can check off all the boxes. But to me it's clear he's a very good coach who can overachieve and win in a power conference.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit I wish we could have a glamour hire to restore our badly damaged pride.

But maybe a really steady coach is what is called for in this situation

It’s tough times right now.. and let’s just face it.. Frost, Campbell.. etc. isn’t coming here! And I know I’ll get some heat for suggesting this but here’s what the hire should be...
Les Miles ( HC)
Art Briles (OC)
Todd Grantham (DC)

And I think it’s possible

Today, Currie should be reaching out to Brohm, Norvell, Kiffin and Sumlin. We don’t have the luxury of being too picky now that Currie went all Bush league and FLA clearly out maneuvered us. Give the next coach the green light to lay the $$ on the table for Kevin Steele as DC. Lay the $$ out there for Kiffin to be OC if he’s not the HC. But our admin has proven they’re too stupid to think their way out of a wet paper bag, so I don’t expect them to even come close to rectifying this fiasco they’ve created.

Why not. It's just one worse decision that can be made. All the bluff and bluster, so why not hire an offensive coordinator who has not worked wonders this year.

With how we reacted to schiano. No way we can trot Art Briles out there. People would say we are 2 faced.

My only problem with taking a guy like Kiffin is that he may bolt down the road. If he has three or four successful years, we would all be dreading the offseason.

I think the upside with Tee is that fans will give him a little more slack on timeframe of success and I think this is a final destination for him.

May as well hire Todd Graham at this point since he is looking for a job. Norvell came up under him.

The saddest part about this is the face that they outmaneuvered us by doing this:

-Unifying
-Agreeing on a coach
-Going out and getting that coach

Nothing spectacular, nothing groundbreaking, they just didn’t have an idiot AD go rogue and completely butcher the whole thing

The problem now is that we can’t yell for a moral coach and then hire Kiffin.

Jeff Brohm doubled Purdue's wins in his first season, including a blowout win over Missouri. Maybe he is a turnaround artist that could get things done.
If he doesn't want it, I really am just ready to throw my hands up and give the job to Tee. Maybe there really is something to be said for bringing back Tennessee blood. He is an excellent recruiter, at least.

I think it has to be Peyton. Peyton has to lead UT out of the dark. Him and Fulmer need to lead the search and if no good candidate can be found Fulmer and Peyton need to coach the team until there is one......

Brohm should be #1 to begin with. He went 30-10 at WKU, and coached up Purdue with the worst roster in the Big10. O/U on wins this year was 1.5
