I'd be OK with Tee. He''s a Champion VFL and would have lots of support from other VFL's. He would put his heart into this job better than anyone. He should get a shot at the least. My gut tells me he would be a great coach here, no facts or anything to back it up, just a feeling...

I hate to say it, but how about Kiff with Tee as OC/HC in waiting.

Uhhhh the head coach in waiting is used when the HC is older. Rarely used under a HC Kiffins age even if you used the in waiting because afraid Kiffin could be flight risk soon.

If Kiffin succeeds here, he will use us as spring board again. Given the state of things, that will take at least a few years. It could work out. Besides, we're all just spit balling at this point.

Tee isn't even close to being ready for a head coaching job the size of Tennessee yet...He would crash and burn in no time and you guys would be screaming for his head...hire someone with experience.

That article says less than 24 hours ago, Currie was informed of Schiano’s past at Penn State...What did his research into the coaching options consist of!? I knew about it days (if not more) ago from hanging out on a fan forum!

We disagree on this. I think if his buyout is structured properly you can make sure he doesn't leave again cheaply unless on your terms. USC only had to pay like 750k buyout to Tennessee to get him. If this time around his buyout for being fired would be like $2 million and if hired away like $10 million then problem solved. Then even if he does leave UT has good amount to start looking for new coach.

Currie's guy was Greg the Douche.....after that falls through, you start with Martin abd Campbell........we really have fallen off the frekin earth.

Dont get me wrong, at this point I would love either one of those and I have also stated many times today it would almost have to be someone like this..........however I would at least like to see them throw 8-10 mil at someone first.

Now we get to over pay for a Martin or Campbell.....or whoever. I could swear it looked like currie was going after a big time, and clean integrity guy.......but at least we got that crap shut down.

Tee will take the job --- but will want big money to deal with all this
I see in the article that Jimmy Sexton represents Tee. DAMNIT! Is there not a single coach we are supposedly looking at that this parasite doesn't have his tentacles in?!

That leach is the one person who is profiting from all of this fiasco and to top it all off, he's a UT grad! #disgraceful!

Look at Campbell

ISU took a chance on him and knew he would be a hot name. So they structered his deal that he would owe 9 mil if he left on his own.......and it has to be paid within 45 days.

A team can do something liek this for the first few years of the contract and then restructure when they do an extension......happens all the time.

I would take Brohm all day over Tee. Tee hasn't proved even remotely that he's ready to be a HC and isn't well liked out in California. Great recruiter but an average OC. Brohm would be the no trainer choice and it's not even close.

Get Tee. At this point we just need a UT guy with UT staff. It’s the best we can achieve after this day.
