***As OC absolutely no!!!!!!!!!! He was cut down at USC because he simply was not getting the job done.

When FBS teams have averaged 29.8 points per game this season and SEC teams 32.1 ppg, 26.1 ppg should not be seen as a laudable achievement.

I agree. What did Manning ever do? All those All Americans came here that won in 98 to play with him. SOOOO! OK, he lost to Florida 3 times (he played 3 snaps as a freshman. Two losses at the Swamp and 1 at Neyland. OK. Yes those Florida teams where 10-2, 12-1, 12-1 and 10-2. Who cares??? Yes they where the best team in the country every year during that period (Florida had the best winning % in America during Spurrier's tenure) but we should have beat them. OK, Florida won the SEC in 93, 94, 95, 96 but they where not that good. That 1996 National Title was a fluke. But we tried.

No reality. You must be a kid. Tennessee has 2 National Titles in 120+ years. One is directly related to Peyton being here and all those other NFL players coming. Nobody beat Florida during that period. No Body. So losing 2 at the swamp and 1 at home against what was the Alabama almost of that time is a bad thing??? You just can't fix stupid. Tennessee is not Alabama or the modern day Florida. Stop thinking we are.

NO He got fired from a PAC 12 you want him to run a offense in the SEC. No If Tennessee wanted to bring him back, do it in some sorta recruiting cordinator.

The situation with TM is complicated because he not only bolted with Kiffin but has continued to steer prospects away from UTK. He's been offered jobs here that he was qualified for and declined because it was a lateral move and supposedly his wife hates Knoxville. Tee did not do a good job as play caller at USC. CJP is not an offensive coach so he has to have an OC who can scheme and call plays. If CJP hires from within and an opening is created, I imagine Tee will be invited to interview for an assistant position other than OC and he will probably decline as he has in the past.
