I actually think that Tee had a good relationship with his son. The fact that Tee was who he turned to for recruiting advice says as much. My issue is that Tee "sent" him to Clemson vs. pointing him our way. I have mentioned our history with the Mays family.Do you know personally what he did or didn't do for his kids?
What good would it have done his son if he had attached himself to a buffoon like Jones? Who specifically had their career boosted by working for Jones?
Broken families and kids without a present father are a HUGE problem in our society. On that, I agree. But when we get to specifics... we shouldn't assume more than we know about why the family is broken or how well Tee tried to deal with that reality.
Respectfully disagree, he is making enough now that a couple mil more for 5 or 6 years won't be worth it since Clemson would give him a hell of a raise to stay. I wish I could say that about my job.........Or stay put and never miss a beat. It will come down to who has the most money to offer imo. Bama’s got the most.
I missed it. UT's relationship or Jones' relationship?I actually think that Tee had a good relationship with his son. The fact that Tee was who he turned to for recruiting advice says as much. I would rather dog a guy who actually did something to hurt the team in a very public manner then I would dog someone who was overheard by a microphone making a comment that was not intended for public consumption and was really only making a comment that his favorite program was making a bad decision in recruiting.
Tee didn't send him anywhere. Clemson was close and is the "cool" program winning NCs while we had a band dork coaching us to mediocrity.I actually think that Tee had a good relationship with his son. You make it sound like folks have a huge grudge with Tee. I’m sure the Peyton Posse does.
My only issue with Tee is he spurned us twice when he was at his “hottest” candidacy for jobs. We are now hiring him after washing out at USC and his offers were pretty weak. Feels like a pity hire by us. Outside of him spurning us and trashing our recruits on national TV, I have no issue. Just an odd timing and hire.
Now that's some high quality H2O there...Tee didn't send him anywhere. Clemson was close and is the "cool" program winning NCs while we had a band dork coaching us to mediocrity.
He chose on his own.
I was speaking to Tee's relationship with his son. Some on here have questioned it but I think it stemmed from the troll moron posting that he wasn't a good dad because he didn't come back to Knoxville to position coach for Butch. I also think that we give the Mays family hell because Cade went to GA yet give Tee a pass when his kid went to Clemson.I missed it. UT's relationship or Jones' relationship?
Wouldn't Fulmer help in either case?
Note the "" around sent. Tee didn't do anything to help HIS alma mater out. Remember, the Mays get killed here and we give Tee a pass for the same thing.Tee didn't send him anywhere. Clemson was close and is the "cool" program winning NCs while we had a band dork coaching us to mediocrity.

He shouldn't have factored that in.Note the "" around sent. Tee didn't do anything to help HIS alma mater out. Remember, the Mays get killed here and we give Tee a pass for the same thing.
Personally I wouldn't have cared as much if Mays had gone to Clemson. Going to UGA made it worse for me... but I haven't bashed them. I would have sent my kid to play for Jones either.Note the "" around sent. Tee didn't do anything to help HIS alma mater out. Technically, if no creature with auditory senses was in the area of the sound waves, then it didn't make a sound. Sound is a measurement of wave frequency and amplitude much like temp is a measure of heat......just sayin.
