Tee coming home...

Seeing a lot of negative talk about things most of us know nothing about. In life Circumstances change, people change, life situations dictate making decisions that seem right, but may not fit your current life. With that said I believe the old saying. “SPEAK ON EVIL OF A FELLOW VOLUNTEERS.” We are getting our tails handed to us by everyone in the conference, we aren’t making any good impressions on the national stage. Everybody in the conference is bashing us, so let’s all pull together and pull apart the other guys and gals. They are the competition, not the other orange clad guy!

Agreed, but if Pruitt is sucessful, Bama may come calling, and if he bolts for home, we have Tee ready to take over as HC.... (all speculation of course).

Perhaps, most likely, they will go for Dabo, Fisher or someone else before him, throw big money their way. Timing of Saban retirement or moving on to NFL contingent. Hopefully, Tennessee, if Pruitt is successful, won't let it be a money issue. Pruitt may believe, or learn, that he'd rather enjoy his own legacy vs living under saban's.

Who knows the future, but, IMHO, Tee is thought of, and thinks of himself, as way more than he is, or has been.

If Pruitt wants Tee then that's fine with me.

I hate to lose Coach YAC because he's been the best WR coach we've had in many years and the kids love him.

If Tee is made the new WR coach and he does as well or better than Coach YAC Johnson then we lost nothing if the players love Tee too.

We all know that USC recruits for itself especially out West.

If Tee comes in and recruits as well as he's done for USC then this will be a Win for us.

I also have to wonder how long Tee will stay at UT because if he's a 1 year guy then that hurts our recruiting and coaching consistency and that's not a good thing.

We're far below the alaBummer level so we can't lose coaches every year like saTan does and just keep chugging along.

We need several years of coaching consistency to get us built back up to aaBubba level first.

VFL...GBO!!!
Glass Half Empty Type of guy or nah?

The first big mistake of the Pruitt era. Tee had his chance to come here in 2012. The biggest reason was to raise his then young son and be in his life...and coach football at his alma mater....and make great money. He choose against being Dad. That tells us the type of man he is. Don't need a bad person and a fired average coach.
Completely reasonable take [blue font]

Quite frankly, I don't think CJP should have ever let Robert Gillespie go. The man was a monster recruiter and our running backs were top notch.
I’ve never really seen where running backs are coached up or down. They’re either talented or not and their production is generally tied into scheme and blocking. Also never saw the “monster recruiter” aspect. TBF, I never saw that with Graham in his short stint. UGA’s RB’s coach and McClendon before he took over as SC’s OC and Eddie Gran fit that bill. Gillespie was a good hire and a good fit. We didn’t suffer from him moving on though.

Nope. Tee was smart to avoid Butch / Dooely, et al. before wasn't the right time for him to come back. It wasn't his fault TN had bad HC's before now.
If going to LA and coaching other kids and putting your career ahead of your own son is something you admire, so be it. But his career looks about the same as it did in 2012. Big mistake. I suppose raising his son is less important in your eyes

Sometimes things are gray and not black or white
Consider this scenerio. Maybe his wife had no desire to come to Tennessee & maybe his wife didn't want to be in the same town as Tees ex baby mamma
Just an alternate scenerio

That old saying makes absolutely no sense.

I was just saying the only way this wouldnt be a good hire is if we lost someone amazing like Niedemeyer. That isn't happening though so... what you getting at?
As an analyst? It’s funny how some people didn’t question Helton being waaaaay overpaid to be oc when he probably never called plays in his life and now you’re saying tee Martin should come in as an analyst? Nah homie, tee has earned his place on this staff and if y’all did more than go on word of mouth you’d see he didn’t do too bad as the oc at usc. 2016 and 17 were pretty good

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Dabo, Jimbo and Pruitt all would say no?
