Tee coming home...

The WR Corps and TE have not been stellar. I watched to many dropped balls.
The TE play has been non existent in comparison to past Tennessee tradition.
Coach Pruitt has made tuff decisions but in my entitled opinion it will be an improvement. Sure i love Tee and bias. F83BE926-6B9E-46FF-BA71-789BAC21E711.gif

Sounds exciting. Going to be fun with him here. Although seems a little weird to have an assistant coach with a street named after him. But I was and still am against that whole knee jerk street naming phase the school went through.

Anyway you slice it, this is a great hire. Elite recruiter, and by all accounts a great position coach. And if anyone, this side of Al Wilson, is representative of Tennessee's recent greatness it's Tee.

Classic avoidance to the issue at hand.

You never have learned to shut up while you're behind.

Classic avoidance is to disregard an action just because the person is on your team. Actually that’s not avoidance. That’s just pure hypocrisy.

No, I learn to say "okay, that was the past and he took his licks, now let's see what happens in the future."

Learn to let go. It's healthy.

Tee is family and you welcome family home with love and forgive any past. I never had a problem with anything he did in the past anyway. He was right about Hurd and he was not going to leave USC for the dumpster fire we had with bozo coaches running it at the time.
Anything was possible under Dooley and Butch Jones. Situations occur from time to time, and I certainly understand what happened, but time heals those wounds, and all should be forgiven. You’ve heard the old saying, holding grudges for the rest of your life won’t get you anywhere.

Cant help but think to think that Johnson might be the odd man out. Has CJP named anyone Recruiting Coordinator cause that's what I see for Tee. In either event I think he helps us in a recruiting and WR/TE development role.

My friend called me and woke me up this morning, about Tee coming home, and an interesting story going down.
Sometime Monday Fulmer and Pruitt had a meeting in the AD office. According to the story, Fulmer says, how about Tee coming to Knoxville? Pruitt tells Fulmer that he didn’t know if he would come or not, because of all of the backlash, but I’ve always wanted him here in my staff. Fulmer had told Pruitt that pffftt, I can get Tee to do whatever I ask him to do, and it isn’t going to be a problem getting him here. He goes on and says that, all of the guys I recruited looks at me like a father figure, and they are my sons that I took under my wing. So Pruitt says call him and see. Fulmer calls him and ask, and according to sources, their wasn’t any backlash from Tee to come home. It was absolutely, I’ll be there. Fulmer told him that the contract situation would be worked out, and you have no worries. Fulmer told him welcome home and let’s get to work, and Tee accepted and said yes sir, on my way.
That is the story that developed Monday of what I was told this morning.

Now, all of this negativity out here is absolutely uncalled for. Tee is still a VFL, and certainly deserves some kind of welcoming back to Knoxville. Whatever it was in the past is buried under the hatchet.
Let’s open our hearts and arms with some ❤️
WELCOME HOME TEE!
🙄🙄🙄.

Just amazing that people are super stoked about an alum who spurned us twice publicly and trashed our recruits on national signing day on national TV......

forgot about that... well i'm for second chances. Plus, Tee was kind of right about Hurts, he was soft in the end... didn't want to take the punishment at RB. Ended up quitting the team.

I like that Tee is likely humbled by the last couple years of his professional plateauing. Kind of a win win for us... he's back... not as HC or even an OC... we should be like Esau and accept Jacob back with open arms.

I see a lot of my Volnation brothers and sisters are very happy Tee is joining the staff. Me, I did not really care if he ever came back. He seems to run his mouth a lot, and I have never heard him speak highly of UT. I am sure somewhere along the line he had some positive things to say about the university, I have just never heard them. He has a great reputation as a recruiter which I hope is true. I will reserve judgement on this hire till I see some results both on the recruiting trail, from the position he ends up coaching, and that he stays around and that he is not just using UT as a one year lay over to have a paycheck. Everything I have seen and heard about his wife makes me think she is high maintenance and probably high cost. I truly hope all the people that are so excited for Tee’s hire are justified and proven right byTee and his efforts here for the team. GBO
