We pluck another one from South Florida.........or Eddie Gran did. 4 Star #40 ranked WR according to rivals.

Any details on this kid? I don't have a subscription at VQ.

I will check the recruiting forum, sure there is plenty there!

I am excited about all of these recievers...but shouldn't we be concentrating on other positions like LB, DT, and OL?

I am sure those positions will be filled also. After the horrible offense we had last year these great players are a welcome sight.

AWESOME! These kids will be lining up after the Fla game. Monte will be bale to pick the best of the best..................and Chaney will have the dream offense in another recruiting season!

I think we should all donate tons of money to the university to keep these coaches around eddie gran is sick man we got some recruiters no joke..

Who gives a crap why UF didnt offer him? I will just trust our coaches talent evaluations. Judging from the way all the true freshmen played last weekend, I'd say they are OK at picking out talent.

We have:
3 LB commits- Irvin, Williams, Taylor
3 DT commits- Harris, Brown, Broussard. Copeland may end up at DT too
3 OL commits- Pair, Fulton, Jose

We are making very good progress. Signing day is 6 months away. Probably getting 1 more DT, 3-4 more OL, and 1-2 more LB...

Wow!! Meline is definitely a pleasant surprise to me.
LV, do you think this hurts our chances with cobbs??
I know were are good at receiver, but I really would still like to land cobbs.

NM...Went to the cobb thread in recruiting forum, & my question was answered. Cobb just needs to hurry up & commit. I honestly don't think CLK would pass up on an athlete of cobbs caliber.

A lot of people from South Florida have said that this kid really looks good in workouts and camps without pads on. He's awfully skinny for a kid that's 6"2 and has never produced on the field to merit where he's ranked according to them. A big indicator is that he did not have an offer from any of the big 3 schools in Florida. He goes to Booker T now in Miami so that alone means he was never going to come to UF because they hate us. Also he has attended 3 schools in a year which probably turned some people off or at least raised some questions.

The best site for SoFla recruits is South Florida High School Football | SoFLAfootball.com
that is where a got a lot of info from and according to them UT has taken a lot of guys from SoFla that were "reaches" for a program of their prestige. I think they probably did this however to make headway into a very fertile recruiting ground though so in the long run it makes sense.

I don't think UT is looking at him as a db...in addition he was hurt his junior year so he got overlooked a bit. He's got legit 4.4 speed and at 6'2 is a good fit for us at WR.
