I was on the board today and they had a thread that David Wilson was faster then Trindon Holliday so as I normally have to do with Chokie fans around here I pulled in some facts:

Trindon Holliday: 40 = 4.27
100m = 10.00 flat

David Wilson: 40 = 4.4
100m = 10.84

....Now I am not a Track Coach but thats Night and Day in terms of Speed...

Not to mention the absolutely awful user interface that they have. It makes me so happy to have volnation!

Don't go, you'll hate yourself if you do. The setup of the board is awful

Sports fans can get pretty delusional about "their" guys. Nevermind Holliday and Demps both being in another world compared to Wilson but he'd get blown of the track by Jocoby Ford, Chris Rainey, CJ Spiller, Jahvid Best and Randall Carroll just to name some off the top of my head.

Hell, Zach Rogers won the TN State title with a 10.80.

So many Hokies come here because they can't navigate their own dang board.

I wish that one would get out of the 90s BBS phase so I can talk some smack over there.

When I first saw it I felt like I was back in 1994. I wonder if Tech fans also talk on huge Zach Morris style cell phones and use Windows 3.1 OS. For something that is supposedly a technical school, you'd think they'd have some good computer geeks capable of a better board. Or at least maybe outsource it to someone more capable.

Don't even try to deal with those idiots. They cried for two weeks after Georgia Tech beat them. All they do is complain and make excuses.

one of the threads said we ran a twinkie offense then made some reference about hostess

VT is notorious for giving unreal times to their players. I know it is somewhat of a joke on other national boards. If Hardesty was there, he would run a 3.9 40 time according to their watches.

with all those superior software engineers they brag about, you'd think they'd have a better board...

I don't know squat about the technology of boards, and I certainly don't know the cost of such investment other than a boatload of time, but I do notice that Volnation is bankrolled by ESPN and TSL is supported by donations and ads (mostly local) sold by the staff of TSL.

Perhaps there is a little apples and oranges going on that.

Its supply and demand.Why does our site have so much support? there are enough Vols fans that avidly follow thier team to make up an entire nation. Va tech has doesn't have enough fans that avidly follow them to staff neyland stadium.

I would like to present exhibit A(and i promise you that this would never happen in a game The Vols were playing in, hell 98,000 at neyland is a bad game for us)

I would like to remind everyone of the 2002 game at Adelphia versus Vanderbilt. Although it certainly wasn't a championship game, I'd say there weren't 15,000 fans there. Paid attendance was 42,000... but that includes every Vanderbilt season ticket holder who didn't show up.

I think Vandy filled all of one section.

Postgame Notes - Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt - TENNESSEE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

says 47,000, either way, that was thier home game against us. Thiers no way an SEC Champ game has any empty seats in any stadium in the world. Thiers more people on volnation at a given time than thier were Va tech fans in Jacksonville for that game.
