Tebow's opinion of Dobbs

He was an incredible college football player and has more knowledge and credibility about what it takes to win in the SEC than this entire board combined.

Since this is a UT football forum (not an NFL forum) his accomplishments in the NFL are not important.

If Heath Shuler made similar comments would you rip him for being a bust in the NFL? I doubt it.

Ok we get it. You have a secret crush on Tebow. Go start a thread talking about all his great accomplishments in college. I'm sure we'll all be thrilled to hear it. Lol

Now Boca let's not forget that we have a VFL that helped drain the swamp on this board, if not for him you might be right.

Everybody knows that what his accomplishments are and are just giving him the business.

It's just that his football team beat our football team every year and due to that he gets mistreated. It's nothing personal it's just the way it is.

And why would any Vol fan mistreat Heath Shuler. If he ran for President I would vote for him.

Typical! Get called out for being a dish&t and resort to the "you have a crush on" BS.

You don't need me to start a thread about his accomplishments, they stand out on their own.

Maybe what he's talking about regarding Dobbs is that Dobbs should put the team on his back during a rough situation.

I made an exception for TS.

But Shuler was a bust in the NFL so anything he says about how to succeed as a COLLEGE QB should be thrown out the window... according to Josh.

I gave my opinion on Tebow's comments about Dobbs and you start throwing all his college accomplishments in our face like we're not allowed to "dislike" Tebow. You're basically just wanting us to kiss his ass and some of us choose not to do so including myself. We're very aware of his accomplishments he's achieved in college so obviously we don't need to hear it again, especially from you. Get a grip.

Sounds like you need to take your own advice about getting a grip.

You're the one who labeled him a bust. I didn't label him anything.

Shuler praised Dobbs, but I guess we'll disregard it because he sucked in the NFL and makes most Top 10 Draft Bust lists, if not Top 5.

Pretty sure I can safely bet his lifetime accomplishments are bigger then yours and so is his bank account. All reports are he is a good dude. Can these things be said about you? If he is a washed up loser what's that make you?

An anonymous message board poster.

Lighten up Francis.

They don't even know who'll play qb at uf this year. But whomever it is will be a first year starter in the sec. That's not if concern to tebow? Lol. Just go be a preacher brother. his future as a college football analyst is about as bright as his future as a professional qb

Good point. I wonder how many people on this board would admit they'd rather have the sophomore Tim Tebow than the senior
Josh Dobbs. I'm a big fan of Dobbs but its not even a contest.

According to Josh's rules, we should.

There must be some sort of failed miscommunication between us so I'm just going to walk away from this argument. I'm moving on so continue your love fest with Tebow without me. Good day sir.

My bad I didn't see the exception. I thought Shuler got injured in the NFL causing issues. I would still vote for him for President. I discount Tebow due to his pick on the Florida game this year.

Injuries forced him to retire, had a foot injury that wouldn't heal correctly or something. But that was the end of his career, by then he was already pretty much a backup.

What hurt him was holding out his rookie year, which already gave him a bad rep, then followed that up by not playing well.

What failed communication? You ripped Tebow for being a bust in the NFL which has nothing to do with success in college.

Gave you a like when I meant to quote. Oh well.

Dude, you started this by calling him a "bust', and you were called out on it. You even doubled down by saying because he was a bust, that means he "isn't the best to give QB advice". It was already pointed out how silly that was and you then threw a tatrum because you don't like Tebow.

If you had just said "I don't GAF what Tebow thinks" and left it at that, I doubt anyone would have said anything.

I think your last sentence is spot on but it also shows a lot of flaw imo. If Tebow actually thinks that then he is mistaken. A QB, any QB can only do so much. I understand that Dobbs could potentially do more, but at some point the other team members and the coaches have to step up their games as well. Tebow was not single handedly responsible for any wins while he was at Florida. It took a team effort.

Hershel Walker thinks Hurd is a beast; oh wait, he was a disppointment in the NFL, guess we have to disregard it.

I am not taking anything away from Hurd, Fournett or any other RB, but I have not seen a RB like Walker since. Dude was beast mode before beast mode was cool.

I get your point. Tebow was the type of player that took control. MJ, Brady, Manning, etc.

Tebow probably sees a lot of himself in Dobbs but wants to see more... especially in tough situations

Ok... Like I said, I'm not in this anymore.
