Tebow Goes in First Round to Denver

I have no problem cheering for Tebow now that he is wearing Denver Orange and Blue instead of Florida Orange and Blue.

I hope he has a long, productive career. The guy gets a lot of flack simply because he was a Gator, and because he is religious. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.

The ESPN.com guys are having a field day with McDaniels. They say it is one of the worst 1st round picks in a long time.

Matt Williamson: Cant' get past McDaniel. He has traded up for a blocking TE, a short CB who doesn't have great speed and a QB who can't throw.

Agreed. My problem with Tebow was he kept beating us. Now that that's over, I wouldn't mind seeing him do well.

I always have and always will admire the guy off the field and respect how hard he plays and how competitive he is but there is no way on earth he was worth what they gave up to get him there.

Even crazier was that it became a bidding war between Denver and Buffalo
McDaniel is either a genius or an idiot. I guess time will tell which.

You'll be waiting a long long time...Tebow won't be starting or throwing a ball in the NFL for a long long time if ever.....At least he can lead the team in prayer :eek:lol:

Whats even crazier is that they used the compensation from the B. Marshall trade to move back into the 1st and take Tebow. Think about that.....

Its like trading a top 3, perrenial 100 catch WR for a QB who can't throw.

the Broncos have no intention of using Tebow as a "typical" QB, and intend to make him a Wildcat QB/tight end. Otherwise, this is quite possibly the dumbest pick I've ever seen. And I don't think Josh McDaniels is THAT dumb.

If he uses him in that manner, NFL DC's are going to love it when he walks on the field.

Hmm....I'm going to buck the trend here and say that this wasn't that bad of a pick. Is Tebow NFL ready right now? No, not at all, unless McDainels has a special package that he intends to use him in. Could Tebow become a stellar NFL QB? I think he can. He's got the attitude, work ethic, and not to mention, the talent to do some things. He just needs time.
