Tebow > Fulmer/Crompton

The only reason you hate him is because he plays for us.

Maybe if you played Maryville High, Crompton or whoever else you want on the field would enjoy it too because he would be successful.

Get off Tebow, he didn't lose us the game.

1. Yes, who he plays for is a large factor

2. Nobody liked Crompton from the second he stepped onto the field here.

3. If HE didn't lose the game, why did he spend so much time talking about himself-how he's going to give it his all NEXT game and for the REST of the season??

Alright. I wanna know, who do you respect in college football?

Who in college football cares if I respect them or not? I am a nobody on an internet message board. My respect or lack thereof doesn't amount to a hill of beans to anybody in the college football world.

This much positive talk about a gator on a vol board is just wrong. Steve Spurrier is a great coach from Tennessee, guess what I really freaking hate him. Why???

Because he is a gator!

Edit: Now he is a gamecock of course, but you get the point

How is he in love with himself? He loves playing the game of football, he loves running over linebackers, he loves putting points on the board. He's good at it. So what? The only reason you hate him is because he plays for us. If Tebow were to set foot in Neyland wearing an orange uniform not ever having played for florida, it would be a totally different song you're singing. He's our leader on and off the field. He has passion. He strives for excellence. Maybe if you played Maryville High, Crompton or whoever else you want on the field would enjoy it too because he would be successful. Get off Tebow, he didn't lose us the game. He only makes us better. Hell, if we would have had someone else out there yesterday, we would have lost by a larger margin. Ridiculous all the homer-ism on here. Try and bring everyone else down with your failing program.

That's where you're wrong. I have nothing against Percy Harvin. Danny Weurfell seemed to be a good guy. I respected Emmitt Smith and he was a Gator AND a Cowboy.

When Spurrier left FL and people wanted him here, I was not one of them. I'd hate it if he ever came here, because I think he's an arrogant jerk.

There are now, and have been in the past, TN players, good players, who I did not like. So don't presume to think you know what you're talking about. Tebow is an arrogant punk, and I can't stand him. A couple of his cutsie plays bit him in the butt yesterday, and I loved it.

Cause he's the team leader. He's 1 of 11 on the field. He feels responsible because everyone looks to him. Just because someone feels responsible doesn't mean it's their fault? He takes losing personally. It's not just a game to him, it's more than just "happy-go-lucky" I'm the QB of the gators-like crompton feels. Never been in a leadership role eh?

:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

You just blew ANY shred of credibility.

Tell him to call me up and chat about it then....if he cares so much.

While you're at it, can you grab me some paper towels so I can clean up this pile of sh*t you've got there?

Someone can't take a joke.

Why don't you explain to me why UT's program is so much more respectful than Florida's?

How is he arrogant?

I would have rethought my school choice is Spurrier had come to TN...not kidding.

I agree-there are players who've worn orange jerseys that I haven't given my support for. Haynesworth, for example, is an incredible athlete. His lack of sportsmanship and ethics (on and off field) is the main reason I don't stand behind him. I'm embarrassed to see such a talented athlete behave the way he does.

That's the way crompton is. Happy go luck "i'm the qb of the vols with their long-standing tradition - he's just happy to be there, he's not a leader, no one looks to him.

I've never seen Crompton in a state that would even resemble "happy-go-lucky"! I'm excited if we can get any emotion out of him at all!

It's funny he keeps comparing Tebow to Crompton when post after post has reiterated our dislike for Crompton. Next.

Crompton, like Tebow, came in with a lot of hype and a large portion of the Vol fanbase was ready to anoint him a superstar before he'd done anything. The difference between the two is that Tebow lived up to the hype.

Being excited about the possibility of having a great QB is perfectly fine. I myself was hoping to see him do something incredible.

BUT....

After the first time I saw him throw a ball on TN soil, I knew we might as well move on and find ourselves a real QB. I've been over Crompton since that very day.

Please, your first 2 games, UCLA especially, he was laughing and smiling the whole game. UAB same way. UF I think he kinda figured out he sucks and just because your the QB in a fine long list of Qb's that go back a long time doesn't mean you are good. I'm comparing the two because they play the same position. Trying to pry your eye-lids open a little.

Keep your hands off my eyelids-they're just fine.

Now, open yours and read:

The comparison between Tebow as a QB and Crompton is ineffective. By saying, "well look at Crompton" you're not making a point. The second you mention him, people are just tuning you out. Nobody likes Crompton-nobody. As far as I'm concerned, he could be a gator and I wouldn't feel any differently about him.

The NEXT thing would be more appropriate if you were making convincing points. References to excrement don't count.

Point taken. I was showing you they way a real leader should act, that's all.
