Anyone note Tebow's comments after the one point FL loss to Ole Miss?

The Gators (3-1, 1-1 SEC) turned the ball over three times, gave up a long pass play late and had some questionable play-calling throughout. But Tebow put it all on his shoulders.

''I'm sorry. I'm extremely sorry,'' he said. ''We were hoping for an undefeated season. That was my goal, something Florida's never done here. But I promise you one thing: a lot of good will come out of this.

''You have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of this season and you'll never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of this season, and you'll never see a team play harder than we will the rest of this season.''

This my friends is a real man. A leader on the field for his team. Owning up to all of his mistakes, owning up to contributing to his team's loss.

Compare to our duo:
"Until I see the film I can't really say,'' Fulmer said. "From what the guys on TV said, Arian didn't quite have his elbow up enough. I don't know.''

Crompton and offensive coordinator Dave Clawson also said they'd have to look at the tape.

Look at the tape, boys? No, how about "Our QB sucks and I'm revoking his scholarship. I will resign at the end of the season. I hope Mike Hamilton joins me."

I must say I am very impressed by Tebow not only as a football player, but as a leader and overall human being. I wish I could say the same for the joke that takes the snaps for us.

You have a very good point. It's hard to dislike a guy like Tebow, even though he plays for almost the worst of the worst

1. Real UT fans never ADMIT to being impressed by anyone from FL, LSU, GA, or the likes....

2. Yes, we realize Crompton's AND Fulmer's shortcomings...

3. At least Crompton hasn't cried yet....

Edited to notate (since some are dense enough not to catch this) that I'm mostly kidding here. I am serious about not giving FL any respect under Myers' watch, though. I've had enough interactions with FL fans, too, that has shaped my absolute hatred of the whole program.

Its called being a leader. We don't seem to have any. Just a bunch of talent running around with no direction.

No thanks, I'm not buying your brand. Seriously, I wish everyone would get off Tebow's _______. I hate Tebow, I hate Urban Meyer, and I hate Florida.

Whom would you rather have at QB for us right now, Tebow or Crompton?

He guys, I'm not in love with Florida either. I'm talking about a single player, who is known as the leader of his team as a Junior (was known that way last year, too). He out works his teammates in the weight room, and apparently knows how to take a loss on the chin.

How can you not respect that? Because he wears a different uniform?

For Christ Sake, I'm not buying your brand either, i think it is hillarious that he makes excuses for a one point loss to Ole Miss, he oughtta not said anything to the media and got right back to work, I'm not saying Crompton does that but I hate Tebow also, i think he is a complete dillhole and his whole, I do things in the community bs is just a publicity stunt so that he'll be seen as the godson of the SEC, well he's not, i'm sorry to say this but you wanna know who the best QB in the SEC is hands down right now especially after tonite, JOHN PARKER WILSON, take it down and get over this Tebow BS.

Not to mention, Florida has been talking all this smack about how weak we are. The last thing I would want to do is compliment their fake goody two shoes QB.

The accuracy of the statement may be off, but at least he's standing at the podium saying it.

It's not that the uniform is different....it's that it's a FLORIDA uniform. No respect for them at all.

I waited tables on the strip my first year or two here at college and never have I ever had a set of fans be so disrespectful. Pooring beers on me, bumping into me while my hands were full, trying to leave without paying tabs, making fun of me and the other staff members, and not tipping....seriously, even when Alabama and Cal fans were at the bar singing their fight songs at the top of their lungs, it was friendly competition...can't say the same for the Florida fans.

They need to earn my respect.

I see now why you were such an avid supporter of Fulmer for so long.

Additionally, Tebow was doing plenty of philanthropy before he ever got a scholarship offer.

Respect? Respect is a two way street. How much respect has he given to us? He is the leader of his team right? His team's attitude is a reflection of his leadership, so forget him.

Not to mention, if you want to look at it that way. I would respect winning and Tebow does not get it done.

He wasn't given a scholarship to be a linguist or an orator. He was given a scholarship to play ball...no-to play ball WELL. He's not doing either of those things right now.

I don't respect Tim Tebow because he would go out there and play a team by himself if Meyer would let him. The very tone of his response ( I am sorry, I will play hard, I will push this team, blah, blah, blah) suggests that he sees himself as the most important factor to the Gators having a successful season, and while he may be right, a little humility goes a long way on the road to greatness.

A team is only as strong as the whole of its players will allow. We've found that out the hard way, but he never will.
