Don’t confuse these poor souls with facts. They think Vols just beat Texas Longhorns 24-0 and Peyton and Al Wilson are out there running the table. They fail to see the effort and enthusiasm other teams play with week in and week out. While the team is better coached technique-wise, their effort in all 3 games has been disappointing. Why is it such a crime to question this? Usually a team with a new coach plays above itself. Is this team doing that thus far?

Well said. This team has been lifeless for the past three games. Why?? You would have to be in the locker room to know for sure. One thing for sure, players will respond to a coach - good or bad. This team clearly has responded in a bad way to Pruitt. It is amazing how we are pleased that"Pruitt tells like it is" in the postgame press conference but no one is talking about how bad the product is on the field. I hate to say it but we as a fan base are starting to resemble ole miss fans.

No. This team is learning a brand new system and are struggling with knowing what the hell they are supposed to do on every play. It happens. If this team were full of quitters you would have seen a ton more transfers during the off season.

Just another excuse. I have heard about every excuse that can possible be thought up this weekend. Themost novel excuse is that Pruitt is working these kids to hard. LOL. Kudos to whoever thought that one up.

The cold hard reality is that a ball coach gets kids to respond and play ball regardless.

Your opinion on things is novel in its own right. I posted a link to the pre season all SEC lists in response to your we have high level SEC talent comment. Never heard your opinion of that or does it just not fit your narrative?

Never saw a team put up 500 yards of total offense and quit. Take away mental errors and it should be 14 or 21-0 at the end of the 1st half. The team hasn’t quit, kids are going wild and jumping around when they make plays. Go watch the Vandy game last year, totally different attitude.
