Teams With Open Date To Replace UAB

Sorry but I don't think football, or even competition are for you. Maybe you should go pick flowers or do some landscaping.

We have enough competition with our regular schedule. That's a weak argument.

Would you prefer us just schedule only top 20 teams and set a new standard that I'm sure all other teams will follow?

You act as if we never play anyone. We've had a top 3 strength of schedule for the last few years. We need some built in W's and most importantly we need a tune up game before OU to gain some confidence.

Definitely not the USAFA! Their scheme kills us and we don't need that stress so early in the year. Prefer an ACC team. Miami would be a tough game, but more upside. Rice sounds like a fit. I would shy away from Bowling Green and MAC teams that are excellent spoilers. Also would like to avoid paying anyone to plan in Knoxville.

I don't get why everyone wants to play Miami. It's not like that is a guaranteed win by any means. If we lose to Miami, we have a good shot at starting our season 1-6, with losses to Miami, Ok, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, and Georgia. Now, this is a worse case scenario, but we don't need to schedule the hardest team possible for our first game.

Boston college is a perfect tune up game maybe la tech but there is no such thing as a built in W. Remember how the committee is voting with the playoffs we could sneak in with two lossess and a crazy hard schedule.

Miami and BC to good for opening game...:peace2:

Miami and BCS would have to decide (willingly) to not play an FCS team the upcoming season, then...do you know of any modern, major conference FBS team that would do that?

(That or pay one of the 3 FBS schools they already scheduled because of needing to break the agreed contract / buyout of the game.)

Yeah thats just it - we already have a crazy hard schedule.

LA Tech or Bowling Greeen would make the most logistical sense while staying in nashville

Who would you prefer on this list? All of these teams need an opponent for 2015 and have an open date on 09/05

I think we will play a D2 in state team.

Don't think we will play an FCS team. We would have to petition that a second FCS game(We already play Western Carolina) would count as a win towards bowl eligibility.

Yep, you get better by playing a scrub team every week. If you want to play crappy teams week in and week out become a big ten fan.

Huh?

Oklahoma
Alabama
Georgia
FLA
ARK
USCe
Mizzu

I don't think "week in/week out" means what you think it means. Or else "crappy teams" doesn't.

Depends on how good we expect to be next year. If we're going to be needing the wins, then Rice. If we expect to be in kind of situation where strength of schedule and quality wins might matter, then East Carolina, which should be really strong next year.

Sure sounds like you want to duck a team.

I know we have a tough schedule, but being a puss about who we schedule is not the answer.

Your math doesn't add up.

Every one of those games will be tough or very tough and yet some people on this forum want to dog pile and add Miami to the mix?
I see no reason to make next season Any tougher than it already is.
