Teams With Open Date To Replace UAB

ok the people that want Miami, noway would they agree to a one game series in Knoxville. and we can't do a home and home.

Oklahoma is the 2nd game...

lol, whoops! Didn't have the 2015 schedule up. I was thinking of this year.

That makes it even more important to be able to experiment a bit with personnel and plays in the first game.

I'm proud that we play such a tough schedule. I see no need to make it even tougher.

Miami or BC. I am sure that would have to be a home and home though, so might have to clear a spot in 2016....

If this staff can't beat Boston College as the opener in their 3rd Year on the job, they don't deserve to be coaching here.

Period.

Bring on BC if possible. Would be nice to chalk up a win against a P5 team even if they're a mid-liner/bottom-feeder.

Says the guy that wants us to follow Vandys lead. Ask yourself, what would Vandy do? Hate to tell ya but they wouldn't schedule BC in this situation.

Are you stalking me?

Also, I never said what I thought UT should do. Only that UT's 2014 offense, in it's 2nd year with far more talent, was as bad as Vandy's offense in it's first year and the OC got fired for it. Yardage wise and points-wise their offense performed similarly to ours given exactly the same opponent.

You drew your own conclusions.

Also, I'm surprised you didn't block me like most ostriches on this site.

Not stalking at all but I will never forget the guy that apparently believes Vandy sets the standards we should follow. It just blew my mind.
If I blocked everybody on this site that I thought said ridiculous things, I would have very few people to argue with. It's all good.

Also, "we have more talent this year" is only partially true. Where it matters the most imo, the OLINE, we are significantly less skilled and talented.

I hate to say it but I think UT needs to replace a C-USA with another C-USA team. But I love to see the Miami game, that would be cool

Okay, then, do you disagree that in the staffs third year they should be able to beat powerhouse Boston College?

Answer that directly.

Absolutely. Having said that, there are weaker teams out there and I'm all for a guaranteed win. We have plenty of chances each year to prove we can beat mediocre teams.

As shady as it sounds, i think we pick the weakest possible team and lock in the win. No honor in it, but it's best in the long run.
