Team USA Basketball

The irony is KD didn't say anything negative about him and here he is feeling weak about it and has to say something

There has been some recent questioning of where team USA was headed in the post-Lebron/KD era. Tatum isn't the ideal leader, IMO. Brunson is not the kind of PG I want running the show on Team USA. Spyda's not the right kind of guard either. It felt like we were putting a lot on Ant's development.

With the emergence of Tyrese Haliburton as a top 10 player, the 2026 Olympics are suddenly looking rosy for Team USA. A lead ball-handler like him is perfect for an all-star squad. Current Ringer 100 rankings:

Guys who will be so much better 3 years from now:
Hali #19
Ant #7
Cade #15
Mobley #13
JJJ #22
Paolo #23
J Will #24
Chet #35
Flagg

Guys IDC about in the context of an all-star team, but will likely be in the mix:
Spyda #9
Brunson #10

Older guys who will still be in prime:
Booker #18
Tatum #4
Brown #21
Bam #31

Edit:

Other guys in the mix:
Amen #49
Hartenstein #61
Lively (not ranked)
Kessler #97
Garland #32
D White #41
Reaves #44
Bane #46
T Murphy #56

Guys I hope aren't in the mix:
Fox #27
Young #28
Ja #29
Maxey #40
Herro #45
J Allen #53

Feels like the squad is missing a big. IDK where Walker Kessler will be at 3 years from now, but he might be the best option to put some real size on the floor.
Cooper Flagg erasure (jk he obviously hasn't played a game). Evan Mobley could be that big, no?

EDIT: nvm, missed Mobley already on the list

Updated and added plenty of options for replacements. Who knows what the next 3 years will bring. Could be laughing at myself for not including Jalen Johnson or somebody.
