This may be an ignorant question, but its something I'm unfamiliar with and this seems to be the best place to ask. What are the travel arrangements generally like for away games such as this weekend? I would assumed the team is either in Mississippi now, or will be arriving today. Do they fly or charter bus to these games? This would mean, if Kiffin does a presser before the game, it would be in oxford. Does the team get a practice in the day they arrive to an away game? Also the game is midday eastern time here, so they players will be playing an AM game. How long before games does the pregame start usually (home or away)? I'll hang up and listen.

They fly to all away games as far as I'm aware, even small Sun Belt teams usually fly charter to their games. UT usually stays at a town near to where the game is and then buses in from there, such as staying in Memphis and busing into Oxford for today's game.

I'm pretty sure UT takes a bus to Nashville and Lexington when they play Vandy and Kentucky.

Most teams arrive the day before and take a walkthrough to check out the stadium. I read that CLK has decided to eliminate that visit and other possible distractions and concentrate on meetings, etc.

We also drove to UGA last year because there was no time savings in flying to ATL and bussing to Athens.

What many don't realize is that even when chartering, they still have to go thru security screening, although not at the airport terminal like general air traffic. The FAA changed regulations a few years back and any charter fight with over 25 passengers must be screened.

The team typically leave campus between 2-3 on Friday and fly directly to the game city or a nearby metro area. Most teams have a walkthru at the stadium, but CLK has done away with that. They typically have a formation walkthru at the team hotel, either in a ballroom or parking lot Friday evening then again on Saturday. They have team meals position meetings, etc Friday and Saturday.

After the game, the team will board the bus for the airport right away, with a boxed lunch-type meal that each player picks up as he boards the bus.
