Team Thread: Oklahoma City Thunder

Btw I'm all for trading those 3 in order to build around Russ better, cause honestly Presti has done a sh*t job of that. Shooters shooters shooters, but if they are just dumping salary in a wide open west I'll kill someone. And everyone but Russ, PG, and Grant should be available.

I don't really blame Presti. Doesn't really matter how many shooters you put around Russ, you just aren't going to win anything meaningful with him as your best guard.

So just keep doing the same thing over and over even though it is 100% proven does not work, instead of surrounding him with shooters and seeing if that can? What a stupid thought process.

I wouldn’t say he hasn’t tried. Patterson and Abrines both had reps as good shooters. George can really shoot. Ferguson shot 36.6% this past year. He tried with Melo too. I mean what legitimate shooters can you get with your cap situation?

Mad props for drafting 2 shooters, signing 1, and making a no brainer trade for PG in 10 years. Melo is trash and that was a stupid idea and was an dumb fit next to Russ, so congrats? Well I said if he trades those 3 in order to get shooters, hence getting around the cap situation. Presti has built a weird roster around Russ, even if you think you can't win with him, you still have to build the best you can to enhance your chances around him. Grant is a far better shooter than Fergys inconsistent azz, he had basically a month and a half where he shot really good.

Yes I'm exaggerating a little, but the notion that Presti is some mad genius is a bit over blown. He hasn't built properly, and the whole "we can't win anyway, so why try" which I see OKC fans say, is just weak and stupid.

In all seriousness, I’m not sure what he is supposed to do exactly. He made a great trade for PG. Hes tried signing cagey vets. He’s tried to draft wings to help with Russ. He got Schroeder and got off the Melo contract so somebody could help him off the ball.

He basically turned Serge into PG, so mad props for that, Grant for Ilyasova was a great move. And Schroeder, while a good trade cause it dumped Melo, is just a really bad version of Russ. Dre wasn't a shooter, Fergy shot poorly overseas, Hami can't shoot, Diallo can't shoot, Huestis couldn't shoot, Cam Payne was a huge reach, I disagree on drafting guys to help Russ. Abrines and...were good shooters that he drafted. Then again when have had guys that could shoot they didn't see the floor...but guess who keeps Billy around. I like Presti, but if you are moving the original 3 that was mentioned, it better be for shooters or you are just standing still and PG will be 100% gone in 2 years.
