Interesting point about the players already knowing about the meeting yesterday while we were still negotiating with Muschamp. Doesn't sound like this relates to Calhoun...we'll see I guess.
It sounds like Calhoun will be Tennessee's next coach according to Basilio. I guess we'll wait and see what happens.
why is everyone(I'm Sorry, A lot of you) against this guy?
He is a military guy=Dicipline
He is a Winner
He only ran the Option because it fit his players, he is a Pro-Style Guy(former NFL Off Coor)
And I would imagine, having graduated from the Air force academy, he is a strong Character guy
He is not of the Fulmer Regiem
I say we give him a shot, we might just get a "DARN GOOD FOOTBALL COACH"
If Hambone hires the Air Force coach, then I say the guy gets absolutely no slack for anything that has transpired. If he cannot salvage a Top 15 recruiting class (at worst) and win at least 7 games next season then he needs to be 1 and done (our choice, not his). I do not know this guy. I do know that Air Force has not beaten a ranked opponent in the time that he has been there. I do know that the kinds of players that UTK needs to attract to compete in the SEC are not going to respond to military discipline. Who is he going to bring in that can recruit? Do guys at the service academies really even recruit in the same sense as other programs?
Some people need to quit smoking the pipe
Recruiting is why he better hire the right assistants. If they keep Cheney, Thompson and Kippy then add someone like Rodney Gardner they'll be fine getting players.
well i guess i'll have free time on saturdays this fall to do other things. football dead period of 7 years atleast before another winning season.
Why do so many of the UT players/commitments dislike him?
