If you can't land Muschamp, Patterson, Peterson or Willingham, I would rather MH hire Kippy Brown.

you guys are nuts. Calhoun is a great coach with great experience...do some research on the guy and get more information on him other than the WAC conference and running the Flexbone offense.

I dunno Calhoun as HC, Cut as OC. At least that way, Calhoun can work his passing game back up again. Not bad I suppose.

You people running down the man because he runs the option need to stick with watching NFL woman football. If you really like football, and I mean REAL football then your with Calhoun. Sheesh, Florida runs the single wing and some of you think its the spread. Calhoun's offense is 100 yrs down the evolutionary road from that.

Sounds like Hamilton ran out of options. Oh well time to find a good golf course for Saturdays in the fall.

Ran out of options? He was the #2 choice behind Kiffin, so it's not a stretch to imagine he would go after him again. I'm not sure how I feel about it - I know some about him, but not enough. It sounds like there is a good chance I'm getting ready to learn a lot more.

I'd like to see what he can do. He seems like a smart enough coach to know what he has and how to make it work.

What's this guy's track record as a recruiter? Hamilton has been very clear from the search last year that ability to recruit is a high priority but how much of that do you even do at the AFA? I'm not worried about the wishbone thing, and if he keeps Chaney on as OC it should be a pretty decent transition as far as X's and O's go. Make Lance Thompson the recruiting coordinator or bring in Rodney Garner and this may turn out all right.

Calhoun is an outstanding coach that will NOT eff VolNation over like the last guy. and for those that choose to ignore the fact that he was OC of the Houston Texans and is able to adjust scheme at AirForce for the talent on-hand, and that Air Force doesn't even run that much triple-option, forget it. Just wait. He will build something here.

we fire a guy that was a life-long Vol, cry b/c we just lost a coach that wanted to return to where he came from, and now we're considering taking a coach from his alma mater who would have no allegiance to us...makes sense.

The guy played there and coached there and made them somewhat relevant as service academies go. I wonder why he would want to leave other than money.

I like the military background ala the General but I have no idea what his X's and O's will be and I seriously doubt he has ever tried to recruit on a scale similar to UT.
