Pruitt got angry at the team after they enjoyed playing the Kentucky game.
After that, the team laid down and died. Three straight games where the team
took it and did not fight back. This team could use Sheriron Jones and Marquille
Osborne.

Absolutely stunning result.

Coaching. Not the players, it’s coaching. Pruitt was completely unproven when hired and remains completely unproven.

Tennessee was a job that needed a coach with prior, successful head coaching experience. The fact they didn’t get that guy is on Fulmer and the rest of the Administration.

I don't blame the players. I blame the cosch. He has no idea how to motivate his
team. And most of them don't get his X's and O's either.

It sucks you are the voice of reason but hiring from the bargain bin after 3 previous failed bargain bin hirings is a recipe for disaster.....

The problem is:

Tennessee is in such shambles that it will have to pull a circa-2007 Bama to get a quality coach. We'll have to pay way over market value for a guy to come here.

And I don't see UT's PTB signing off on paying a HFC $8.5-9mil minimum. Unless things turn around real dramatic and real quick we're staring at 3-9 at absolute best. The issue is additionally compounded by the fact that, in all likelihood, we're going to lose what little underclassman talent we do have as Wright/Morris/To'o will take their talents elsewhere.

One of things I was worried about last year was how the team never seemed to really buy into Pruitt even after the Auburn and Kentucky wins. From what I saw today they still have not bought in and it looked way too much like a Derek Dooley lead team. Sadly I think Pruitt is a lame duck coach until proven otherwise.

I think team was laying down before it started.....poor play calling on offense and defense....turnovers.....no enthusiasm....no excitement.....long season ahead

The players absolutely share in the blame. Regardless of their feelings for a coach, which we have heard the same tired excuse through three coaches now, at some point you have to play for some self respect. Their performance was embarrassing

Wait until we get butt raped by real SEC teams later. I had delusions that this could be a halfway decent season until I watched game today. Utter disgust is my main emotion. I don't care what Fulmer does down the road, I'm done. Y'all have fun......

Who is going to take the job?

We can point to the fans being great but our administration is an absolute cluster ****. Why would anyone worth having come here?

The answer is they won’t. That’s why we’ve had the last 3 guys.

Mike Leach woulda crawled to Knoxville, Les Miles would have walked to Knoxville. Hell, fill out whatever you gotta fill out for the SEC/NCAA on Hugh Freeze, have him show all kinda humility at his introductory press conference and hire his ass.

A crusty ol’, salty, country boy, old school Defensive Coordinator is NOT what the program needed, and Fulmer should have sensed that. Fulmer thought he was hiring a defensive version of himself.

They needed a polished, experienced, successful CEO-type head coach.

The Tennessee Vols became Georgia State's prison punk. It was totally shameful and absolutely unacceptable!

I really don’t think they practiced against this offense. They couldn’t stop that pitch out and the drags. That QB had them confused. No answer for the same stuff. No adjustment. Bad coaching was highlighted today!
