Idk where he went wrong. He was so physical last year. Now he doesn't jam at the line and then stares as WR's run past him and tries to catch up.

Teague showed potential at WR..I still to this day hate moving him to CB..I know we were low on depth, but damn..pick a WR who didn't show potential..like I dunno, Zach Rodgers. <_<

As far as not moving back to WR...he was the best corner on the team coming out of Spring camp. Anderson couldn't beat out a Freshman corner, so it worked out nicely to put a Senior over in the WR group. Teague was much more valuable as the best corner available when Waggner had to be emergency-moved to FS.

As far as being demoted at CB...while he's playing about the same as he was in the Spring, other teams have found out his weakness. He's still a good zone corner, but he gets beat deep playing close to the guy. I'm not saying he's regressed, but the other guys (like Izzy and Coleman) have gotten better. The emergence of Randolph as a play-maker and emerging eraser meant Waggner could move to his best position.

To use a Dooleyism, this is just Darwinism at work. Teague's a little bit down, other guys are a lot bit up. Same thing for Gordon. If he was playing better all the time, he'd already been in there.

I'd say there's 0% chance that Teague moves to WR, this year or next. He's gonna be an experienced, talented, Senior next year. That hasn't happened in a long, long time. It's something the program needs.

Player position adjustments will help for the final 5 games of the season.

Exactly. I do think we should give him a look in the return game with Devrin always being hurt though. Teague is a very natural athlete with the ball in his hands, and can fly. He's just struggling right now.

Good. And like others have said, now bench Z Rogers too and give the other guys more PT.

Problem with teague is this.- a high school quarterback that went to ut and caught a td pass against ut martin last year as a receiver. Then he was moved to db. Thats how bad depth and experience is at ut. Qb to wr to db and now bench. This sums it up.

Outside of those couple false starts that could probably be attributed to the position change, he certainly seemed fine.

We watched a different game. Stone played pretty bad. He changed the complete momentum of the game with his whiff on a block coming out after halftime on a perfectly drawn up screen. That screen at worse should've went 25 yards.

Now saying that, it has to be tough to switch positions against a top 3 defense in the NCAA and expect great things from him.

I was driving back home from a wedding and only heard the game on the radio.

I just kept hearing "Tennessee CB moves up like he's going to press but the Alabama WR just runs right past him. No contact made." As I was in Alabama for most of the broadcast the Bama radio crew couldn't make sense of it.

Was that Teague getting run past? If so, otherwise, how did Lanier and Waggner play?

Judging by the score an the bama passing yards you could say horrible

I wonder what took so long to bench him. Him ad Z Rogers for sure would have been benched like 100 games ago!

This

Rogers and Arnett should be 1 & 2, might as well give the kid a shot and build up his confidence for next year.

Be careful about saying this.....some of the know-it-alls on the board will tell you how Arnett and Zach play different positions and how it would be impossible to have a guy learn new routes.

You got to feel bad for the guy. He's just too slow and can not play corner. It's obvious. I'm all for Zach Rodgers being the water boy as well. Too many potential playmakers rockin' the bench while this kid does nothing.

Teague was a QB in High school not WR.... he's not really a Local guy either.. if a 4 1/2 hour drive is local then yes he's a local..

All of you realize Teague was out most all of the second half when our D was gettin worked?? I agree he doesn't need to be playing DB anymore and I think he should ask DD for a switch back to WR... He deserves it.. I mean the kid wanted to play WR.. He is an offensive player.. DD ask him to move because we didn't have any depth at the DB position at the time.. I think it's obvious now that the younger guys can play just as well if not better.. So he did his part to help the team... Let him switch back to WR.. He's a really smart kid.. He does whatever the coaches tell him.. He more of technical guy.. He thinks to much.. DB's rely on more natural instinct that he just doesn't have.. He's more route runner making the right cuts kind of guy.. I hope they make the move..

a) What took so long?
b) Where the hell is Eric Gordon?

I have been wondering this all year, but was almost afraid to ask. Seem like he had a promising freshman year and haven't heard much from him since. He has to be better than Teague.
