In other expected depth chart shuffling, look for rookie CB Justin Coleman to continue to reemerge in the Vols' lineup. Coleman made a couple of nice plays against Alabama and has battled diligently through his early-season struggles. Coleman, Izauea Lanier and Prentiss Waggner would be the Vols' top three cover men, with Art Evans and Eric Gordon perhaps in the mix beyond them. Marsalis Teague has effectively been benched, we are told.

he needs to take zach rogers place at WR...that kid sucks and is a non factor in our offense

(Having not seen any practices)I like this idea as well. In fact, as poorly as ZR catches, I wonder why no one has tried to make him a db.

Feel sorry for Teague, but the dude just isn't even close to getting it done. He gets us killed every time he's on the field.

What is the deal with E. Gordon? Why isnt he starting or playing more? He is physical and one of the better tackling corners.

I agree. He was given an opportunity, but Dooley had to bench him though. He just wasn't making any plays. Maybe this will motivate him to earn his spot back.

I agree that Teague needs to go back to WR. That was one thing Kiffin got right was playing the kid at WR. It was Dooley and Co. that moved him to DB last year I believe.

I also agree that Zach Rogers is a non factor on offense so why is he out there??

Affirmative action.

Lanier, Coleman, Moore, Gordon, Randolph, Brewer, Waggner, Evans.. I think we have some skilled DB's but lack the necessary experience for them to contribute effectively. Admit the unit has been disappointing, especially Teague.

Teague might be a good fit in zone packages. He's just not physical and fast enough to play man. Keep him on defense and when/if the time comes we can play zone, let him play. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we really play much zone unless we've got a significant lead or certain down and distances.
