TCU DC to be interviewed

3-4, 4-3, 4-2-5, 3-3-5 doesn't matter, you still have to have the athletes and you have to stop the run first to be successful.

that's true, and after the last two recruiting classes, we are short handed. Someone called the 4-2-5 a nickel earlier on the thread. It looks like the 4-2-5 is played with two strong safeties. That is not a big change from a 4-3. Sub one ss for a lb. And as light and fast as tennessees linebackers normally are, that's just not much of a difference. I don't see why it wouldn't work in the sec.

In keeping with the defensive formations theme here, in how Eric Berry was primarily used this past season, UT often played basically a 4-4-3 alignment.

By the way, Hubbs has heard nothing to suggest we've even contacted him or are going to pursue him as a DC.

Let's keep in mind it's an interview. CDD will hear him and and if he likes what he hears, I guess he'll hire him. I'll trust his judgment until I don't have a reason to. He was mentioned for the LSU job last year and Georgia people wanted to take a look at him for DC.

Why didn't rhey? They sure had enough time to.... Heck he had like two months. My thought was he was intimidated by Tennessee's pro staff for recruiting which is now NCAA staff.
