Here is a pic from the Daktronics site of the scoreboard they did for Arkansas. I think the one at TBA may look something like it.

All the moving text at the top and bottom looks really cheesy and noisy to me. But I guess that's where things are going.

Just one plea - no Wal-Mart ads.

ours will have a stats table under the screen though, is the only difference.

The scoreboard will actually be 8 feet taller in height, and eight feet wider in overall width. The video screens are much bigger and also come in high definition display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. You'll also notice a few upgrades in the animation and sound quality it brings.

I'm really excited at how good this will look.

"In addition to the main centerhung scoreboard, Daktronics LED technology will be utilized in six LED ProTable® digital scorer’s tables, as featured at the 2006 and 2007 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Final Four® events. The fully digital scorer’s tables have the ability to display real-time team and player statistics, colorful graphics, exciting animation and video clips. These ProTable® displays utilize 10 millimeter (.39 inch) LED pixel pitch for exceptional image clarity and wide-angle viewing.

Fans and athletes will also be informed by four large fixed digit scoring displays mounted to the fascia in each corner of the arena. Each of these displays will measure approximately 3 feet high by 41 feet wide and offer basic game information."

So, I'm assuming that they are keeping the screens at the corners of the arena and replacing the two stat boards with video screens?

The video screens will actually be affixed to the scoreboard. The scoring displays will be mounted in each corner of the arena. Each display will approximately measure 3 feet high by 41 feet wide and offer basic game information. Another nice additon will be the new inner ring of speakers to improve the sound system.

I think he means the large video and stat boards they installed when I was there in the late 90's. They are attached to the large concrete columns in the upper deck. Those should stay. They are Daktronics equipment as well, so the technology will mesh with the new boards, and they and aren't that old.

The small scoreboards in the corners on the facia of the upper deck do need to be replaced though. I wish instead of replacing them, they would install a ribbon board going around the whole thing like they are putting in Neyland. What they relly need to finish it off is a big, orange, lighted sign on the top of the luxury boxes that says "WELCOME TO BIG ORANGE COUNTRY"

Wish we had that updated, improved sound system when I was there, would have made my job a lot easier.

1.I'm pretty sure those are staying in place.

2.From what I've been told, that's where the scoring displays will be mounted. They will be a nice upgrade in size, visually, and technically.
