I do and will always believe that CPF is the real OC of this program...our conference rankings are not that different in the last two years and the Sanders era. Cut was just here to try and save Ainge from a nervous breakdown. So I don't think it matters who fills the slot he just needs to be a good recruiter, have good babysitting skills and make sure his insurance covers being run over by a bus.. But if I was gonna take a chance on someone w/o OC experience I would take a long look at the Qb coach @ VT.
I wasn't criticizing you. I was criticizing him. I thought your post was perfectly reasonable, and I thought he was being a bit arrogant and obnoxious. Sorry if you misinterpreted, or if I wasn't clear enough.
Yes they won a National Championship, but they only averaged 21 or so points a game on offense. A defense who had 10 starters leave might have had a little to with that. Considering there offense just changed QB's this year, and they scored around 30 or more point the Championship points more towards defense. But that is a good comparison, though Crompton could be even better suited than Leak.
I agree. We are a good enough program to pick up someone with experience. If Trooper goes to Baylor and is successful with his offense and who ever we hire fails we can bring him back.
