First year starters. They are vets now. 2 fall and 1 spring practice....they know the defense now.
Respected players they are most definitely, but they are not Veterans IMO. Minimum two years of starting experience before I label them as “Vets”. They might know their role on the defense too, but their still learning how to execute it at the standard of a veteran on every play.
Difference of opinion which I can respect. I can only speak from my experience. I started my freshman year in college. Performed well but the game definitely slowed down by end of Freshman year. Second year...I was a vet. I was a returning starter. Was I a captain or team leader my sophomore year? no. I did lead by example. Knew exactly our game plan, coaches expectations.
I feel like we will get that from our returning sophomore starters.
I said we have talented veterans in every position group and believe it to be so. Will our newcomers help fill the voids? I think as many as 7-8 newcomers will contribute next season, that's 20-22 high quality football players that will determine what type of season next year will be.I get where your coming from but I wouldn’t label Taylor and Thompson as veterans, cimaglia either.

Cimaglia is definitely a veteran with a chance to be one of the best in the league next year.
Warrior, Bituli, Kirkland, JG, Chandler, Calloway, Jennings, Wood-Anderson, A Taylor, Thompson, Cimaglia, Gooden, Taylor and Palmer.
Always room for growth. I think competition to play will weed out the weak.Mutual respect from my side of it as well. I hope we can get that from those sophomores. They definitely have the talent to be explosive players on our d no doubt. They will have a good group of receivers to work out against in training camp so that’s only gonna help their maturation process.
I know Jenning’s family well. He will play on Sunday’s. Kid needs to focus his aggression and passion more. Other than that, he is a huge target possession receiver with a high vertical and large catch radius. His run blocking ability is phenomenal. Can’t believe Jennings is still in school. I think he played under Fulmer. I like Calloway and Palmer. Cimaglia is a good kicker. Darrell Taylor can rush the passer.
Other than that, I don’t think much of that list. Sorry.

He will create bad matchup problems in the NFL.
Linebackers will be really good.I like Jennings. I like Tennessee’s wr corps. Best unit on the team by far. As a unit, it’s good enough to go out and win with.
Darn near every other unit is not good enough to go win with
