Possibly the best Vol no one (outside of the nation)has ever heard of. Turning into one of my favs. The guy just goes about his business and competes w/o complaining. Not enough footballs for this backfield.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see eventually see Oku at receiver in a few packages. That is likely to increase Poole's offensive plays.

Poole's a hard runner and can really hit the holes. I'd love to see him in a split back formation with Brown.

I'd say LaMarcus Thompson is the better Vol that no one has heard of. He wasn't highly ranked coming out of high school, wasn't a starter until this year and had a fantastic game (5 solo, 3 TFL -25 yards, 1 sack -9 yards, 1 FF, 1 FR).

Do agree with what you said about Tauren Poole. I'm sure that the staff will definitely find a way to work him into the rotation.

I was so disappointed for him when he tripped on that run and fell short of the end zone. :eek:hmy:

Justingroves had this kid pegged from the get-go.

I agree on both players.

Poole seems to find the thought of going down personally revolting. It's refreshing seeing a kid with that much fight when he's being tripped up, etc...

Is Poole bigger than last year? I dont remember him being that stout from the waist down. He looks like Jones Drew from the waist down, a tank.

I've always thought Poole was top notch. I'd like to see him run in the first quarter to get a better assessment of him.

Not saying anything against Justin because he is one of my favorite posters and I love his insight, but I thought he had Savion Frazier starting over Thompson in his projections?

I personally thought Lathers would get the nod over reveiz (but I was pulling for nick since I went to high school with him - broke almost all of our lifting records) because the coaches were raving about his athleticism. But I guess his football IQ put him over the top since the MLB is o important in Monte's system.

4 quality running backs when most schools hope to have 2.

Depth will soon be our strength across the board.

You are spot on my friend!

As for Poole, he's going to have a breakout game this season. Don't know when it will happen. I picture him slipping into conference game in mid-2nd quarter and he's going to takeoff like a madman.

Wish I could find that final Poole run against WKU somwhere. I was really pulling for 70, and Poole almost got us there (well, to 69, probably wouldn't have kicked the PA because I THINK the clock ran out).

I'd like to see Poole get more carries. Love his story. Came from a tough situation but made the best of it. Works as hard or harder than anyone in the weight room... and apparently won't take "4th string" for an answer.

Poole is a prime example of a 'team player.' He works his tail off and never complains. It's wonderful having someone like him on the team. All these RBs(well, the whole team) are playing selfless and buying in to CLK's vision. Competition has done wonders for these guys.
