Kessling #$%^! I refuse to listen to that rediculous idiot. His voice and tone make me sick. He is the last thorn in UT side that needs pulled. For God's sake PLEASE lets do something to get rid of him.

That's what I don't get. Why does everyone think that Poole is so great? He has proved nothing. Brown played well and Oku looked great on the kickoffs. Poole might be good, but at this point nobody really knows.

I really hope he stays and think he should probably be playing over oku. I love the way Poole runs with authority and heart on every run. If you're reading this poole, please stay and prove everyone wrong next year by being the second back in the rotation. WE NEED YOU

Poole has not once proven anything in a game. His one signature run came against W. Kentucky when any other back on our team would have scored a touchdown. He is simply not as good.

Tauren Poole is just an unfortunate victim of the coaching change. You feel for the kid, but the program and the football team is much bigger than Poole, Creer, Morley, or anyone else that has left the program or been booted since Kiffin and Co. got here.

It's unfortunate and he may be an arse for doing it, but there is a method to his madness and it stinks really bad for good kids, but either way it's just the way things are.

Poole might be better than Brown or Oku right now and he may even have a higher ceiling, but you don't go on "maybe" or "practice/spring football" when trying to build a program and send a message to others.

I know a couple of guys on the team and they have mentioned the whole "Poole is the 2nd best RB" like mentioned earlier. Most of them are far down on the depth chart with him though and I tend to chalk it up to the fact that he is one of them. Most of the logic revolves around his practice performances. Poole is a good RB, but Hardesty aside, when you bring in big names like Brown and Oku, you better be that much better than them. If Kiffin does not think that Poole can bring more to the table than Brown or Oku, then he is going to play them because they are younger (as is in more upside) and it shows the recruits that he will play young guys that are good enough.

FWIW, I got to meet Poole on 3 occasions, through the aforementioned kids, and not once did I think he was anything resembling a thug. Always seemed like a nice kid and a really likable person.

Those friends think he is gone by the way.

i dont get why people on here say kiffin isnt playig him because hes a fulmer recruit. thats the dumbest thing ive read on here. if kiffin was just playing his guys then nuke and brown would be the whole offense. and if im not mistaken nuke is upset cause he's not getting the ball, and isnt hardesty a fulmer guy? that arguement has no logic behind it.

My take is that Kiffin has gone overboard with playing his top freshmen recruits--whether they really deserve to play or not. Face, none of them has done much--and freshmen shouldn't be expected to do much. I think Brown has got a ton of PT simply because he's a big-name recruit; fact is, he's been nothing more than OK (and totally screwed up the good first UT drive against florida, by the way). Nuke--a perfect example of my point. Kiffin makes him the punt returner when clearly Rogan should have had that job from Day 1. That move alone tells me Kiffin has gone a little too far to play the big-name freshman.

its a shame. the kid has worked his butt off,kept a good attitude in a very difficult situation and the coaching staf slaps him in the face with just over a min in playingtime? its a crappy situation for the kid . it also makes me sick that nuke can do the same thing and we start " please stay " threads. but we say good riddance to poole? its a shame.

Thanks for stating the same thing that a lot of us knew about 2-3 months earlier. It's not been any secret that he wanted to transfer and was unhappy with his production. Trust me though, if he was up there in Brown or Oku's atmosphere, he would be playing. Kiffin playing 2 walk-on O-Lineman completely dismantles your theory of Poole getting some type of nonpreferencial treatment. Poole is a good kid, but he's being recruited over, it happens.

If Poole stays, he will probably be third behind BB and Toney Williams with Oku being the third down specialist or change of pace back. Williams will be the "Thunder" to Brown's "lightning." Poole is just another in the long lineage of all-purpose backs in the mold of Hardesty (which, mind you, is not a bad thing) or Lennon Creer. Let's face it, barring any serious injuries, there just aren't enough carries to satisfy everyone.

Yeah, I'm heartbroken. I'll have to wear a black armband to work tomorrow. How on earth are we going to survive without a fourth team tailback?

I do subscribe to the theory that CLK is playing Brown over Poole based on the fact that Brown is his recruit and he has tons of potential. The whole thing about playing Freshmen doesn't mean anything if they are sitting on the bench. How many times has CLK talked about playing Freshmen? All the time. The fact is Poole has been recruited over.

Why is everyone whining? I told you months ago he should transfer. Now the situation is coming to the light. Kiffin is doing right. Brown is better and Oku has more potential. Poole also has a little ball security problem. You guys need to just let this Poole thing go. We'll get another back in here that's better than Poole. Also he wouldn't even play next year.

I subscribe to the theory that Brown is playing over Poole because Brown is better. That's not a knock on Poole as I think he's a good RB, but I just don't think he's better than Brown and definitely not better than Hardesty.

i really hope poole does transfer. he is a good player but next year toney williams will be in front of him and he will be in the same position.
