Tauren Poole Interview...

No problem at all with anything he said. Said he hoped UT would be back, said he thought the kids would learn from that game. Also said that basically no matter how hard they tried to lead some players refused to respond positively. His comment at the end was that he probably wouldn't have come if he had known Fulmer would be gone, they'd have 2 more coaches, and a new strength coach every year. Stability seemed to be

important to him.

Interesting statement about stability. Everyone can make a strong case to fire CDD, he has I think only 1 winning season in 5 years. Do we really want to go down this road so soon? If he doesn't have a winning record next season then by all means yes fire him. I don't know man it was miserable sitting in the stands in Lexington far worse then watching it on tv. It's a difficult decision and we need Hart to make a wise decision.

Most people do not take us as serious as we take ourselfs, that being said, it takes a Big man to admit when he was wrong, props to LawVol13

It's not about that with me, man. It's about you having the privilege to represent something bigger than you for 4 years of your life. I loved it. We didn't win state titles, but I wouldn't even consider not playing or playing somewhere else. Poole had that privilege on the highest level, and he obviously doesn't appreciate it. That's what's pathetic.

Have you never thought about what your senior class could have done with better coaching or a better situlation?

Poole signed with Fulmer instead of Spurrier. At the time... he probably thought he chose the most secure coach. After his Freshman year, Fulmer gets fired then he gets shown the back of Kiffin's hand. He then gets a brand new coaching staff and all the pain of being part of a "rebuilding" effort rather than competing for championships.

Who knows whether he would have ever played at USCe or not... but he would have
been at the end of the turmoil rather than
right smack dab in the middle.

USCe has good running backs. Poole would maybe play special teams. Even the guy who backed up Lattimore was good. Less turmoil maybe, but not much playing time. Either way, he doesn't sound like a proud
Vol.

I was wrong for coming on that strong with my statement. I saw quotes from his interview, and they were obviously taken out of context. I didn't intentionally misrepresent what he said. I had a rash reaction to the quotes I saw posted, and I was absolutely wrong for what I said about him. After listening to the full interview, I acknowledge that completely, and I accept any criticism any of the posters on here have said as legitimate. I was wrong, and I apologize to VN for starting the thread and to Tauren Poole for my comments.
I believe in giving credit, where credit is due. Your best post ever, by far. Kudos :good!:

TOTALLY AGREE.

This team, IMO, was void of locker room senior leadership. It showed at UK.

This will alleviate itself over time as DD brings in the character and talent. They are one in the same for great teams.

You can lead all you want, some people aren't going to listen.

I just read part of your thread LV.

We have got some idiots on here. Good Lord people. Try knowing what the hell you're talking about before babbling some bull****! Listening to the guy ahead of you is the same thing that you ***** about when women gossip. Same damn thing.

That's exactly what I did. I saw quotes posted of what he said and overreacted. It was stupid.

I'll give LV some credit. He owned up to making a mistake. More people need to do that instead of making excuses for everything.
