Most people who go with the intent to get drunk will continue to get drunk before the game and continue to sneak it in. They won't pay the price associated with the purchase in the stadium. I for one am also a "Christian, (referring to previous Christian post)." I really don't think my Lord has a problem with me drinking a beer or two or three on a hot summer day.

I meant not selling beer leads to less moderation (i.e., people slamming beers/liquor before leaving the tailgate because they know they won't be able to get any for 4 hours, or sneaking airplane bottles inside and slamming those during the game because you need to do it discreetly).

Selling alcohol during the games would probably lead to more moderation, because people know they can buy beers inside.
Entirely agree as never noticed a behavioral differences of our fans when UT plays at NFL stadiums or Battle of Bristol for that matter.

I’m in favor of it but they need to set some sort of limit on how many drinks each person is allowed to drink. It’s not the NFL where more adults attend those games. More kids go to college games and that should be taken into account.

Of course that genocide enabling, cadaver collecting, Hellfire orgy club drunk would say something like that. He was debauchery personified and you quote him here? And think it a good idea to follow your alcohol selling advice? Hmmm, naw, I'll pass.

No smoking - no drinking
Alcohol at games is a bad idea-bad behavior.
The idiots that put a smoking ban in place, encourage people to drive to the games. Each of these automobiles pollute millions of times more than someone smoking a cigar or cigarette outdoors.
Idiots! Who are these people?.

I think it is insane that some Nascar tracks have smoking bans. There is no major event I can think of that pollutes more than a Nascar race. That is not including all the campfires at campsites.
This is so ridiculous it is not even funny. Who are these idiots?.

That's easy enough. One beer per ID at any time. .... Cut off sales at the end of the 3rd quarter.

My first post.... I'm a Christian so I know I'm already a minority, but I wouldn't support this at all. If they want to increase revenue and attendance then win games. Like another has said, it's allready snuck in but is kept at bay. I'll not be taking my kids if they do.

I'm a Christian too. Like Jesus, I consume alcohol on occasion. There is no sin in consuming, but obviously when drunk you've committed the sin of gluttony.

The kid thing is just a sad reality. I've got a 16 and 10 year old and I just resigned myself years ago to the fact that I was going to have to explain some things whenever we went to a game. People just suck.

I'd have to see some numbers on people acting worse at NFL games as opposed to college games. They sell it at every pro stadium and I seriously doubt they are any rowdier there. This seems like a no brainer tbh.

I went to the UTC vs Tennessee Tech game on August 30th at Finley Stadium and they were selling beer and wine like hotcakes.... of course Finley is not considered an "on campus" stadium for UTC which makes that situation different...... but....... It did make my game experience better to have a cold malt beverage or two on a Hot evening !!

The smoking ban has nothing to do with pollution. No one wants to sit behind the guy sucking down 2 packs before half time

Right there is one of those idiots. This guy probably drove his 18 foot long Suburban or diesel truck to the game.
I would love to tell you what I think of you and all the "do gooders" out there. I cannot post it here.

Lol... So what if he drove a tank to the game? Nobody wants to endure some random dude's Marlboro habit from 18" away with nowhere to go.

You cannot be serious. A joke, right?.
Willing to bet there are many idiot "do gooders" in this crowd.
What happened to common sense?. You people are comparing the exhaust fumes from large gas hog vehicles to someone smoking a cigarette out side?. Unbelievable!.
Do you people vote?.

Exhaust fumes smell better.

They should have a few local beers on tap. Support local businesses. They won't, though. More beneficial to make deals with the big beer companies.

We are talking about fan behavior and increased alcohol consumption on the same message board.

You would probably stuff peanuts down a kids throat who had a peanut allergy as well. You are the one who is selfish and can’t wait three hours before your dependency induced habit makes you nervous. You want to smoke all you want but it’s obvious you don’t care about how your actions may affect others.
