In the end, I'm good with what CJH decides. If he doesn't like this kid, and apparently he doesn't, that's ok. It does make for some good conversation though, right?

He was a regular starter 25 years ago. It's not the same NFL now as it was then. Not to mention, Flutie's arm strength was never in question.

And you seem to be missing the point. The stigma on small QBs is a stigma for a reason. There is plenty of data to show that is much harder for a shorter QB to work out. That doesn't mean it's impossible, but trying to use outliers to prove your point is a poor argument.

I could point to Muggsy Bogues as proof that an extremely short person can be a really good NBA player. That doesn't mean our basketball team should start investing in 5'3 point guards.
