You created a post touting a guy who turned a consensus top 3 draft pick into Christian Hackenburg. He'll be VERY lucky to keep his job as an OC and you want him to be our head coach. I apologize for not turning the other cheek to your ridiculous thread.

15-3 since Tee inserted Darnold into starting role. Darnold is coming back next season. Regardless, Darnold will be #1 QB taken in the draft whenever he decides to go pro

At least half a dozen realistic candidates that are hands down better and safer choices.

I thought Tee's wife TOYA said she wanted to stay in Cali for her singing career. She could always go country and sign at Dollywood through the summer:)

Because Tee would have been a WR coach under Butch.

The USC gig he took was much more high profile than being under Butch. Best judgement he ever shown.

However, getting offered OC here is a bigger deal than a WR coach. Especially if USC is dumb enough to run him off.

This is the downright STUPIDEST excuse people use.

How else do you get rid of a coach exactly?

Texas fired Mac ******* brown and then gave Charlie Strong a short stick and still got Tom Herman.

FSU “pushed out” aka...fired Bobby Bowden. Jimbo jumped on that job tho.

Miami fired Larry Coker and Randy Shannon, then hired a moron and still had sanctions...but Mark Richt still jumped on that grenade and is rolling up win after win now in only his 2nd season.

Clemson “pushed out” Danny Ford and forced Tommy Bowden to resign.

Bo Pelini was fired after winning 67 games in 6 seasons and their AD just got canned...but everyone seems to think Scott Frost is a lock to go there, no questions asked at all.

Teams push out or fire coaches all the time. It’s not an excuse to keep Butch. That’s the worst excuse used on any board. Drop it.

I appreciate your advise, but I completely disagree with your opinion. The best way to leave your school is after a 25 to 30 year coaching career winning championships and retire on your own accord. Then they name the Stadium after you or erect a statue when you retire. That's ideal getting fired certainly is NOT ideal for anyone.

This is not an excuse but rather it's a decisive factor for any former player who may not want any bad blood at his school.

That's why they often say "you can't go home again".

The last two coaches have been head coaches for at least 4 yrs each and neither have a clue how to manage a close game at the end resulting in numerous games lost that should have been won. Now we're wanting an OC who's never been a head coach before. What on earth are people thinking?

SEC is the closest thing to the NFL there is. Games often come down to the final secs, or final play, much more than other conferences. You need a coach with successful game experience managing games in the final secs.

Darnold and USCs offense have both greatly underperformed this year. I understand that you're that person who likes to argue about EVERYTHING, but if you can't grasp that concept then I can't really have an adult conversation with you. Maybe you can start another thread about how Shoop makes 100 million a year.

HEY THERE! I was buzzing damn hard when I said 9 figures......

Has USC stepped back from last year? Sure, if you are basing that opinion on expectations. Regardless, that team is still 15-3 with Darnold as a starter.

Darnold is still a second year starter and is going thru growing pains. Even Stevie Wonder can see that. However, the story of this year's USC team isn't how far the offense has fallen since that Rose Bowl win vs Penn State. Its how far the defense has fallen under Clancy P.

Notre Dame was the only game for them where they just looked over powered start to finish.

Also, Notre Dame is just that good this year. That 1 point loss to Georgia is going to look a lot better than a lot of other team's best win.

Tee has made several statements in the past about UT...First off he never wanted to come to UT, He grew up an Auburn fan and desperately wanted to go there but they never offered him a scholly....He also never understood why everyone here loves Peyton so much yet he brought us a NC and never got the love Peyton gets..He was offered the OC job by Butch and used us to get himself a nice big raise at USC...His wife hates living in Tennessee, Hell his Son hates UT as well he went to Clemson...So exactly why is everyone wanting him back so badly?...Better and more qualified candidates out there...Tee is happy now so let him be.

False! He was never offered the OC job. He was interviewed for Receivers Coach.... And Butch only interviewed him for a publicity stunt. Which was a joke and shows how bad Butch is.

If Tee was ever offered the OC job or Head Coaching Gig here, that is super big deal that he would consider. What do you think would happen if other big programs outside of California wanted to offer head coaching gigs to him? You think he is only going to look at jobs in Southern California for a job so his wife can stay in Cali?

Same Google that gave you his full name could have told you how abysmal and underperforming his offense has been this year. Maybe try watching some of his work before posting this drivel.

point totals for this year: 49/42/27 (win vs tx)/ 30/ 27(loss to wash state/38/28/14.

on pace to go 10-2
west mi- 521 yds total offense
stanford- 623 abysmal total yards offense
texas- 468 total offense
cal-416 yds total offense
wash st 327 yds total offense in loss
oregon state 512 total offense
utah- 532 total offense
notre dame -336 total yards in loss.

Tee would be way down the list.

1) UT will hire someone that has experience as a head coach.
2) Most likely it will be an offensive guy unless someone like Patterson said yes.
