clearly these talking heads are astute football minds. i guess vegas just takes whatever their predictions are and makes that the line.

Honestly, I think it depends on which UT team shows up. For as long as I can remember, we could beat nearly anyone on a good day, but we could lose to almost anyone on a bad day. Perhaps all teams are this way to some degree, but my Vols have forever been the heart attack kids.

Shut down the run.
Don't give up big plays on special teams.
Let Crompton play his game....don't throttle him because it's a bowl game. (not that CLK would)
Dominate the line of scrimmage (obvious) and wear them down in the 4th.

Ya know, if they would make these guys pick games based on the vegas line, then every time they were making picks, show their record for the year, these idiots would actually try to get it right. Regardless, Lane will use the fact that everyone is picking VT as a motivation. Personally, as long as we don't have multiple suspensions of starters, I believe we run away with this one.

And Mo Williams, and Shaq, and Varejao...

Quit kissing that raccoon in your avatar and learn some basketball.

the point is it only takes one player sometimes...(remember Dexter?)

Shaq's really tearin it up by the way.... love him to death, but quit worshiping an afro and learn some basketball.

Yeah, I remember Dexter... he had great blocking and weaved his way through 2nd string/walk on LB's and a backfield without Janzen Jackson.

Shaq's averaging the most blocks per game (1.40), the most ppg of all the centers (11.0), and 2nd in rebounds per game (7.0). I'd say he's doing alright.

Not many centers his age with that kind of output. Again, learn your basketball as well as your rock/blues music.

Why because they picked the best team?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

I think at times they have looked like a better team and at times not. I think its a safe pick in a way. You could ask 100 people (who haven't seen either team play all year) and the vast majority would pick VT to beat TN. Picking #11 over an unranked team is a no brainer. Thankfully, for TN's sake, rankings do not determine the outcome of games.

With a month off and everything else in these players lives plus maybe Vols being glad to be here and VT feeling like its a let down not being in the Orange Bowl who knows what can happen. There's always a bunch of Bowl games that leave you scratching your head. These won't be the same two teams that played last month for better or worse.
