Talked to a few guys in the AD today

What the hell does posting some stats About a coach moving from directly from one BCS school to another have to do with us getting who we want as coach? Are the only options coaches who are currently at BCS schools?

I was just playing by your rules, which seem to be changing by the moment.

What makes an NFL assistant/failed head coach more likely to succeed than a major school assistant or a mid-major guy? See: Bill Callahan running Nebraska into the ground and Dennis Erickson doing the same at Arizona State.

Um, no. Left Utah, which wasn't in a BCS conference at the time for Florida. Left ESPN, which runs the BCS but still isn't a school, to coach Ohio State.

You are out of your mind if you think he left Florida for ESPN. He left Florida and made a pit stop at ESPN to piss on everyone first...

Uh Erickson, the u.......wow

what if scenario. hart was at florida state for years and i know coach bowden want the record for the most wins for a coach in college football, so why not bring him in for about 3 to 5 yrs. with a head coach in waiting in some sort. bowden is a big time name and a beloved coach to add at a traditionally prestigious university. the 3 to 5 yr. time frame is nessary because our coach in waiting still have about 5 yrs on his contract if he is able to return next yr. then we bring in the coach that will be at tennesse until he decides to leave or retire in peyton manning. only after we offer the job to the likes of (jon gruden, tony dungy, and for some reason i like herm edwards..)just my thought if we did fire cdd but i perfer to keep him because i believe it will hurt us furthermore. i think he is a decent coach just came into a terrible situation that is why other coaches turn the job down. the rebuilding process is started give him a chance to succeed and prove he was worth it. go big orange..........

if peyton, can not return football would u be scared to give him the job. with no true coaching experience will we be willing to let him learn on the job? we know he bleed Orange and will give his all for tennessee. if he did want the job and was hired, what r some names u think will make up his staff?

Yes. Because he coached the Colts to a Superbowl and played QB at the same time. Wilks couldn't even do that.

Now you're just lying. But whatever makes you feel better.

Yes I would want him here. Just think about the recruits that would want to come here and play for him. I believe he would also be able to pull in some big name coaches so he would have a good staff around him to help him learn the ins and outs of coaching.

You are out of your mind if you think he left Florida for ESPN. He left Florida and made a pit stop at ESPN to piss on everyone first...

And when he left Florida he knew tOSU was coming open? Because at that point, the Tressel machine was still humming along, Teflon intact.

Well by that logic Howard Schnellenberger should be picked up by someone after he's fired/retires from FAU this week. He won in Miami the 80's right? Just like Erickson?

Let's fire Dooley and get either of those guys RIGHT NOW.

Wow, jumping the shark

He left because he could see what was coming. It gave him tachycardia and he knew he had to get out while he could.

So i picked a random thread to put this in lol. I have an honest suggestion that i wanted to get peoples opinion on. IF i was in Dooley's shoes, I would like to make a change to our uniforms. I would remove all the names off the back of every single players jersey. I would then proceed to have a team meeting and tell the team that we are no longer playing for ourselves. (pointing to the power t on the helment), we will be playing for this, this year. We will play for our school, our fans, and everyone who loves us. I would then tell the team once they have learned to play as a unit, fight every game for 60 minutes, and gain the respect back from vol fans across the world, then they may have their names placed back on their jersey.

I know, stupid and pointless. Just wanted to get yall's opinion. Please dont flame me. :hi:
