Yet the evidence of the U.S. government's disastrous handling of the departure of troops after 20 years and the evacuation of allies is still coming to light.

More information on the Fox News false story about the family of the Marine that had to pay to transport her to Arlington. Fox News never retracted the half-baked story, inflammatory story even after contacted by the Marines several times and being told the story was incorrect. Just quietly dropped the story from their website without acknowledging anything as being false. Same for the US Rep that created the whole story out of nothing for his 15 mins.

Nice "what about" you got there. I am sure plenty of news services have printed retractions and corrected stories in that time period, but I don't follow everything so I got a big nothing for you. I had a strong dislike of this story so I followed it and it turned out to be a complete lie. Sorry you didn't get retractions on stories you didn't like or agree with, but doesn't change the fact this was complete BS.

I figured this was crap when it was published and I’m positive the Marines as well as the military mortuary services bristled at the implication.

A former Green Beret who saved hundreds of U.S. allies from Afghanistan following Biden's deadly withdrawal in 2021 unleashed a scathing rebuke of the president's nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, saying the promotion would be a 'slap in the face' to veterans.

The Biden administration nominated Tracey Jacobson, 59, to be the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq last week. She has previously served as U.S. Ambassador on three occasions – to Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kosovo.

Jacobson was in charge of the Special Immigration Visa (SIV) program to provide the U.S.' Afghan allies, such as translators and military personnel, paperwork so they could escape Taliban persecution.

But as many as 150,000 U.S. allies were left behind and are still waiting to escape, according to the 1208 Foundation, which works to help get the abandoned Afghans visas.

'The U.S. State Department role in all of this has been a colossal embarrassment and this promotion is just another slap in the face to the veteran population,' retired Army Lt. Colonel Scott Mann exclusively told DailyMail.com in a statement.

American taxpayers' money is ending up in the hands of the Taliban, according to a U.S. government watchdog, which found that bundles of cash flown into Afghanistan by the United Nations are finding their way to the country's central bank.

The latest report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction found that the U.N. has delivered more than $2.9 billion in cash since the extremist group took over in 2021.
