Someone has to take the blame in disappointment for everything in life and CPF is taking it for us!!

The past 4 years in College Football have been crazy and getting crazier....With all of the upsets and blowouts today, can you guys ever remember when a #1, #2, and #4 ranked team went down on the same Saturday (or week)??

Appy State - Michigan 2007

Vandy 4 - 0 and ranked 21?

Houston beats ECU??

Michigan scores 27 unanswered??

Florida - Ole Miss??

I think we have way too big expectations for our program because the talent pool seems to be getting larger and more evenly distributed among colleges!!

We talk about firing our coach and have done so for the last 4 years!!

Everyone on this board seems to know everything about football....but lets be honest with ourselves and be humble a little!! We ain't gonna win every game or SEC title or NC.....

I would love to be ranked #1 every year and win NC year after year.....but I think through Sports Medicine, the Internet and TV......recruiting has become a lottery!! A lot of talent out there for everyone now!!

Anyone can be beat on any given day (especially in the SEC) and I think as training methods and science keep getting smarter and growing so is the amount of good players!!

Maybe our football program is all to hell or maybe everyone has caught up with us.....Let's stand by our team no matter what!! Look at all of the threads and comments tonight.....If CPF is really under this much pressure in the real world....who could do a good job??

We asked him after 05 to please give us a def....he did

We asked him to win 10 games in 07, he did!!

Go back and look at all of the posts in 2007.....win or lose many of you want him gone just as an excuse when in all reality....he has done a great job for the University of Tennessee......

Putting in a new offense with an inexperienced QB is a nightmare for anyone....

Will CPF ever get the respect he deserves??

Goodnight VOLFANS!!

Well obviously we have all the wrong talent then because within the last 4 years we have had a top 5 recruiting class and it's not showing on the field so you tell me whats wrong????

Ummm, last year we didn't have a recruiting class in the top 25 and the year before that we were like 16th or 17th

What's going on in college football has absolutely nothing to do with how terrible our offense looks.

That lands on the big boy shoulders of Fulmer and Crompton.

Must have been all that talent on that 6-7 UCLA team with it's whole OL injured and 3rd string QB playing that caused us to lose that one.

2 of the 3 got beat this weekend genius...

and my birthdate is 8/27/98 how old does that make me then??

I think your argument is wrong and isn't looking at the big picture. How many of LSU, USC, and UF have won NC's in this decade? Heck, how many have won more than one? At the very least, how many of those three are consistently in BCS bowl games? And how do you want to explain Alabama being on the verge of something special this season with a good recruiting class? The top schools still get the top talent, It's that simple. It's the rise of spread offenses and good coaching that has evened everything out. 1-2 good players on a team that runs a wide open offense can be competitive with anybody in the nation.

It's not a talent thing. UT has plenty of talent. With the right coaching and scheme this team could be a dominant force in the country.

2004-11th
2005-4th
2006-23rd
2007-3rd
2008-35th

these rankings are from rivals....so I ask again where is the talent on the field

I agree but once again, Fulmer can't throw the ball or hand it off!!

He put us in a position to win and the QB he has chosen and trusts blew it....

Fire the coach because you're QB is a moron....ummm, NO...is he accountable YES.....just not to us!!

Now, let him do his job!!

Thank God I thought I was the only person who would defend Fulmer. GO VOLS

Yeah, it takes real skill to see that a 1-3 team might struggle with a UGA.

Nah man, the talent pool has dried up, so when Georgia goes to swim in it they will just hit the bottom. The whole team will be injured next week.

I just wish teams like Appy State, Vandy, Houston, and ECU weren't hogging all the talent. Please guys, leave some for the Vols.
