I dont like the message he sent. Last time I checked im free to do so. In all my years, ive heard alot of things said and ive heard everyone interpreted what was said the same way exactly zero times. You havent posted this multiple times in different threads?
Appears to be a point of emphasis. A silly one. But one none the less.
Is there a reason why you havent addressed the idea that what your actually saying and implying was never said?
Oh I dont dispute that's your take. Your rants are noted. And yes you re free to post whatever you please. When you twist what was said or totally misrepresent what is said(which you still havent addressed twice) I ll call out the bull$#!+.I dont like the message he sent. I believe that Rick Barnes is a good example of your first paragraph. The UCF comparison is silly because they play in a weak conference. I don’t have the numbers, but their opponents this year have a combined losing record. Kentucky is a good example of what talent development can do for a program. They trusted Stoops to build the program and now they are seeing results and success. While their classes are not elite, if you can bring in quality guys and develop them then you will be ok.
We have had some good recruiting classes, but the development is lacking and we have had some questionable coaching decisions with the talent we did have on the team. If you look at our roster, it stacks up fairly well in the SEC as far as “star” power. Our average is even higher than Florida. However, you would never think that with how we have been playing at times. Again, it all centers on talent development. I think with Pruitt and this coaching staff we will see an upgrade in recruiting quality talent and development which will result in more success on the field.
Buddy in my lines of work, when I make split second decisions peoples lives are on the line. Those decisions are then scrutinized by people who sit in offices with air conditioning all day. So why I know what it feels like. And I wouldnt want either of my bosses to say theres nothing they can do until they.get better people.
Not sure why this opinion makes people so angry. Guess im just not into coach worship as much as you are. Nothing wrong with either stance. But if you think Pruitt was getting the most out of the talent on offense the first 5-6 games of the year, you may want to consider all the stuff you have said to me for yourself.
Well maybe another way to look at it is, he was getting the best he can, he just isnt a very good coach, or his lack of head coaching experience was painfully obvious. Luckily its improved quite a bit over the last few games.
Talent is a cop out argument after games like today. Our guys should be hands down more talented than Charlotte’s but we were outplayed.
If that happens in an SEC game, sure we can call it a talent discrepancy. Today that doesn’t work. UNCC did much more with less than us just as many other teams seem to do.
It's a glorified scrimmage that resulted in a W.....If you're trying to get anything more out of it then you've missed the point....
We ain't gettin' any better until CJP gets his players.....and we need him to recruit some OL and DL....LBs and QBs.....and Safeties.....
