In 2026, someone will undoubtedly do an analysis and determine that there is a direct correlation between the amount of money a team is willing to spend on their roster and their chances of winning a national title.247 lays out this Blue-Chip ratio that was created in 2013. Four and Five star talent on the roster. Good read.

Not sure I agree with the article but I do think Heupel is adding good "depth" to the talent pool in Knoxville
I am curious what the other teams looked like the three years he mentioned, and how many of them were above 60. Might put some things into further perspective.247 lays out this Blue-Chip ratio that was created in 2013. Four and Five star talent on the roster. Good read.

I’m interested to see what the season holds. I have heard a lot of people say this year might be better than last. I’m not really sure. We lost a lot of talent. I think it depends on if our defense can play like last year. I know we can run the ball. If we can improve in passing that will be great.
UGA's QB is trash! I know lots thought we had a good chance to win last year. I think the chance is even better this year at home! Getting them early with question marks for both teams should play in our favor at home! I also think UTs D could be comparable to UGA's this year.Still don’t think we can beat UGA
The one thing that bugs me about the blue chip ratio is the disregard for transfers. The portal, both in and maybe more importantly out, has a huge effect on talent. I think the 247 talent composite is much more accurate.
Heupel and company need some pointers from Vitello. You have to increase the blue chip talent pool if you want to compete for national championship. If you look at the past 8 National Champions, Almost all of them have multiple top 5 recruiting classes before they won except for Michigan.
