Neyland Stadium seems to have lost its intimidation factor the last few years. we just don't seem to play well in our big home games recently. (Auburn, LSU, Florida) What can we do to restore our rep?

the only thing i can think of is to just tell our players that we are on the road and are the underdog.

take everyones season tickets away and make it a 50 years old and under event. Loud as hell.

Free Jack Daniels shots for everyone. Talk about loud and about a 40,000 plus baby boom in Tennessee around the same date.

Neyland did seem to make a difference this year... We played Florida and LSU close... Then we went to Arkansas and they smacked us around the place... I think the advantage at Neyland is underrated.

We haven't won many big games there lately. Florida in 2004 is the only one I can recall since 2001. Actually, the big wins that year were mostly on the road. At home, we lost to UGA.

The Florida game was awesome, when they made the 50 yard field goal to win.

Anybody know how the University is spending the $50MM donation they recieved a few months ago? Hopefully they add more seating, and it can become even more intimidating..

I think the renovation plans will take away some seating, so the capacity will go down.

The fans at the Cal game made a HUGE difference in how that game was played. Neyland rocked alot on that September afternoon.

i say do the same thing the players do.. tap that sign that says "I WILL GIVE MY ALL FOR TENNESSEE TODAY" before you go to the game... give it your all every play and down... be passionate and obsessive... i went to three games this year... Fla, bama, and LSU... even though it was very loud, i still saw a ton of people sitting down just staring at the field... i dont see how they do it.. just imagine if everyone in that stadium gave it there all... it would be AMAZING... i wish that could happen...

how about having the ushers remove people who are complaining about fans who are cheering loudly.

oh, and give that obnoxious chick a seat right behind the opposing team's bench.

Was Cal not big? I don't understand how beating the #9 team isn't a quality win

being #9 in the preseason poll is about as accurate a predictor of a quality team as what brand of tape the trainers use on the players' ankles.

Did you see Cal's loss to Arizona? Did you see the destruction USC laid on them? Again, for now the 7,995th time, Cal was, is, and always will be a fraud.

It was big win at the time, and I don't know how many people had the confidence in us to win. I still say it was big. It jump started our season and erased the painful memories of last year. Plus- if you're gonna post about the Neyland advantage, just make sure you went to at least half of our games, because it has gotten intense in the student section at least, many, many times this last year.

Yeah, the students did a wonderful job of making themselves look like idiots during the Alabama game. I was proud to be an alum.
