Take the freaking touchback

Jones has lost nearly 60 yards of field position between failing to get to the 25 and penalties. The fact that Pruitt keeps sending him out there is just further proof of poor coaching acumen.
Pruitt’s simply a dumbass. Plus he should have taken the penalty and started the drive at the 30.

Yeah, I think we loss about 12 to 15 yards on that exchange and I don’t think the outcome was certain at the time.
Unless they backed them up for the re-kick. I admit, I don't know the exact rule.

How about not backing up a true freshman inside the 10 repeatedly and limiting your playbook?I’m ok with trying to make that happen.
The penalties definitely put them in bad spots. But I appreciate the desire to make something happen in a game where they were clearly overmatched. I liked the fake punt call, too. Didn't work, but showed some desire to win.

With this offense, a running start in an open field may be your best bet. I'm ok with trying to make something happen.
After the first two returns it was apparent Florida had a strong return defense. That is when you change it up. Pruitt slow on the draw as usual. I do agree with the fake punt call. Should have worked and may have been a game changer.

Yes your return guy has proven he is not a Berry kneel down every time unless past the 25

My thoughts exactly. Ridiculous that he kept running it outta the end zone

The rule is you can choose a re-kick or add 5 yards onto the end of the run.
+5 yards to a touchback too? It was originally a touchback, I thought. That would've put the ball on the 30, correct? That's why I'm thinking you take that all day long..

Yes. 5 yards added to wherever the ball ends up after the play.

Pruitt's response to this would be he's fantastic in practice and gives us the best chance to win.
