the National Championship game. They also will not win the SEC East Division; the dawgs lose at least 2 and maybe 3 games in the conference. UGA has some significant weakness that will hurt them in key games. Plus this looks like 2005 all over again only this time it will be Georgia being the big disappointment instead of Tennessee.

UGA is ranked so highly because they teed-off on Hawaii. Period. They will definitely not go to the NC game.

I don't know guys......they are looking pretty good.

Maybe, but they have to have a hell of a season in order to make it. They could easily lose 3 or more games this year. If they stay on top of things, they can probably stand to lose one, maybe 2, but if they get to 3 it's over.

Real quick... Someone name an UGA WR returning this fall that finished in the SEC top 20 for receptions or yardage.

The "leading" returning UGA WR is Massaquoi who finished 29 in receptions and 23 in yardage... yet mysteriously the talking heads are fawning over UGA's "balanced offense".

UGA has a nice D returning. They have ONE proven and good RB returning. They have a talented but very young OL returning. Two very good OL's were lost and they will play several first year guys in their OL two deep.

They have the talent to be great but with those gaping holes plus the schedule they have... I honestly think they'll lose no less than 2 and possibly as many as 5.

Don't sleep on Arizona St. Erickson is doing a very good job out there. USC has routinely given UGA all they wanted and more. They get the three best teams in the West... I really like and respect Richt but they could be set up for a bad let down.

I bet the Pups lose to us and Florida

I just have a feeling that we lose that game this year. Everyone on this message board is overconfident about the pups because he drilled them 2 years in a row. They're not a bad team and if the fans get overconfident it leads to the team getting overconfident. I just think if we win it will be really close, but I see us losing that game.

I'm worried about that one too 182.

I could see the Vols surprising everyone against UF in K'ville then going to Athens and losing to a struggling UGA team trying to save their season.

That's exactly what I've been saying for the past 2-3 months.

Moreno's backups are supposedly extremely promising. According to practice reports, they are living up to their reputation so far. I'm miffed about Massaquoi. He looked to be a future superstar back in 2005. Fred Gibson sort of started that trend for the dawsgs. Maybe UGA needs to think about finding a new WR coach.

I've heard from a few people down in Athens that Caleb King might end up being a better RB than Moreno, and could possibly steal the starting position from him.

That would suck if UGA started had 2 Morenos, lets hope thats a rumor :crossfingers:.
I think whats gonna kill UGA is not that they are not good enough, its just they are in a killer division of a killer conference. UGA may very well be every bit as tallented as last years LSU team, but they will have the disadvantage of playing in the east. If UGA cant win the east (regardless of their record) they will not make it. It will come down to this.
I also could see us SOMEHOW pulling out a win over UF in kvill then loosing a close one to UGA. If this happens auburn will be evermore important for us, and the UF UGA game will be awesome!

Ya think?

Well yea, what i mean is the ASU game is honestly pretty irrelevant if they win the SEC. I think they are NC bound if they do. On the contrary they could have just 1 loss at the end of the season, and if UF or UT :crossfingers: is undefeated then they wont go. lol I guess I'm stating the obvious.

While I do think UGA loses 2-4 games, we were all saying the same things about Florida in 2006 with their hard schedule.

Yeah, but Florida only really had two hard games outside of the state. Us and Auburn, and they split. They were fortunate that so many breaks came their way, also winning agonizingly close games against Vanderbilt, USC, and Georgia.

Georgia has to go to South Carolina, Arizona State, LSU, Auburn, and Jacksonville for UF. I think their road to the title will be a lot tougher than Florida's was. They'll need plenty of breaks of their own to get there.
