Y'all ever stop to think about what our competition uses to recruit coaches and players against us? I'm sure one of the low hanging fruits they attack is our miserably toxic, disloyal, and negative fan base. It hasn't crossed most of your minds that these decommitments could be stemming from how unstable we've made our coaching situation appear. These players rarely choose to go to a school because of the school when they're recruited by 15+ Power 5 schools. They go for the coaches. We're throwing these recruiters soft balls because they're pointing at UT saying those guys aren't even going to be there in a couple years. You're delusional if you expected anything more than 5-6 wins on the year with absolutely no offseason development for a team that played 20 true freshmen. I understand we haven't met those expectations but our team faced more adversity this year than other teams of similar build and unfortunately that came down to the luck of the draw. Some of you clowns need to just shut up and be fans. Don't give the program any of your money and do something else on Saturday if it ruins your life that much.

Well, look at his. Been here for 5 years and makes 1 single post and this is it.

Because I know if I'm an 18 year-old recruit, I'm going to say "nah, coach, let me see what Tennessee's fans are up to on the internet. I don't honestly care that Tennessee has imploded and it's Head Coach is being snippy with local media and is being eviscerated by national media. I don't care that Pruitt has lost an NCAA record number of games by 10+ in his first 3 years or that he's lost to chief rivals by an average of 22 points in Year 3 with almost no sign of halftime adjustments. Yeah, it's the fans that are going to make up my mind for me."

LOL

Our 2-6 record has nothing to do with losing prospects and our completely dysfunctional and incompetent administration and AD has had nothing to do with problems attracting quality coaches. It's all the fans fault. That about right?

So no one else had to deal with covid restrictions this year? Ole Miss? Mizzou? A&M? Iowa State? NC State? UNC? Boston College? Wake Forest? UVA?

It is a good thing that nobody important cares or gives any sway to what is written on here, not recruits, coaches, nor boosters. The money people are listened to not the keyboard cowboys. This board is for entertainment only it is not effecting change one way or the other.

Your right

Guys it is my fault for the recent decommiments of recruits....i have let my disappointment show thru and it obviously has effected the recruiting of players....it had nothing to do with inadequate coaching or getting our asses handed to us for 6 straight games....its me. My bad everyone I'll do better

Another one of these guys....

Yeah--the 2-6 record, 6 losses by double digits, a team regressing on the field, incompetence at QB, firing a DL coach during a game has nothing to do with the coaching situation looking unstable. No, none of that.

It is because the fans point out the obvious.

I am sure these recruits who have played football basically their entire lives do not see any of the above--they have to have the fans post about it for them to see it.

Gotcha....

If I was a recruit, I would not want to go to a University where fans were happy with mediocrity, regression and losing......

I think he's right to an extent, not just this site but the media are going for Pruitts throat, if you think there is no power in this board your wrong, this site and others are where the fans sound off and players read these threads, recruits read these threads, the media read these threads and they throw it back at the coaches and it can make things very hard to overcome because it creates such a negative atmosphere.

You do realize that there are fan forums for every college in the country and they all look pretty much exactly the same? Same discussions, same disgruntled talk when the team is getting embarrassed on the field, etc...

Tennessee has a passionate following. It’s a good thing.

Pruitt's not going anywhere after this season so continuing with all these fire Pruitt posts just doesn't do anything for anybody except let the poster vent, and how many times can we say fire Pruitt and give all the reason to do so over and over. Lets move on to something else for awhile.

UT is getting ready to see real fan apathy, I'm telling you next September will look like peak covid in Neyland. People are done

I am not a recruit, so I don't know what they think. I was just thinking this morning, back in the TV age people were somewhat isolated. Now, people are amazingly connected, practially all day, but maybe connected in a dumb way to dumb people. Maybe they don't care about fans, I don't know, but then again maybe they follow Clay Travis on Twitter. Who knows. People are openly calling Pruitt an idiot everywhere I go, but I'm not a recruit.
