"With rumors swirling that Coach Phil Fulmer's job may be in jeopardy, how is Boyd affected? "No matter what happens, I am going to stick with them. We'll see about the coaching changes, but I'm still going to be a Volunteer."

sounds good cause we need him

Why wouldn't he?

If he is a quality qb he should be the starter or at minimum get PT next year.

That's it... no more excuses for keeping Fulmer because of recruiting.

He is not an idiot...anybody committing to us now knows that there will be a new coach next year. Maybe that's why he is committing...ouchie Phil!

perfect time to get a spread offense coach? That's what this era of college football is all about.

idk about starting as soon as he gets on campus. but he will see PT unless he is a total bust. i really like him alot, now we need some OL to protect him

Thats what Auburn said.

I sure do like Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas's spread though

Speaking of Oklahoma, I'm flabbergasted at how those boys can put points on the board. It was like 28-0 seven minutes into the game tonight against Nebraska. I would think their opponents have to touch the ball at some point...

I can't remember who I promised this too, but I stand by it. As of today, Boyd is a Vol and nothing else. He loves Knox and he wouldn't go anywhere else. He's not leaving

Boyd isn't no fool. He knows he has a shot at grabbing the starting job as soon as he gets here.

ive been to all but one of his hs games this year and seen alot of his play in person and hes got all the skills and can definately compete for the starting job next year, if not start use him as a change-up should one of our qbs step it up next year kinda the way florida used leak/tebow a few years ago

KNS reporting that Hamilton told Boyd not to expect a coaching change...for whatever that is worth. Not sure if MH said that, nor do I pretend to know what that would really mean. However, it is interesting.

More interesting might be what MH said after the game: "Phillip deserves some respect tonight".???

thats what i meant by 'should one of our qbs really step it up next year' .....there is the possibilitiy that say stephens has an awesome off season and turn it around but i still see boyd competing for the startign job next season if fulmer can look past his policy of only upperclassmen
