Tailgating or Pre-gaming suggestions for opener

I am attending my first Vols game this Thursday and will be coming in from out of town the day of game. Any recommendations for where to go for pre-game partying and/or group tailgating?

Is it just you coming? I'm having a tailgate on top of G10 garage next to stadium and river.

Market Square and Gay St have numerous bars and restaurants. Not much left like that on the Strip/W Cumberland near campus but the Graduate Hotel there has Peyton Manning's bar in it
