Vols

Struggling this time of year trying to justify my happiness of being a Tennessee Vols fan. Of course the bottom line is.....I'd rather be a Vols fan and deal with the last few years than be a fan of anybody else. It's a privilege to be part of the Volnation. And I don't just mean this website.

But it isn't easy lately.

Better days ahead? We're headed back to the top? I wanna believe. I really do.

Go Vols!

Been a Vol fan a long time. I have to confess that I took winning for granted till it all came crashing down. Now sometimes I take losing too personally. My 7 yr. old grandson is the only family member that will sit with me during ballgames as I yell and stomp when things go bad. I guess I need a happy medium....NAAH.

I will admit I take Vol sports wayyy more seriously than I should. I know it's just sports...just a game that isn't life or death, but to me and to a lot of other people it's more than that. It's something I'm very passionate about, as a lot of people are, but like you said, i'd rather be a vol than other team in these down years. Being a vol is the greatest thing in the world and I love the traditions, history and the passion of Tennessee athletics. I feel sorry for anyone not associated with the University of Tennessee. Even though we stink right now. There's nothing like gameday at Neyland. Anyway, not sure where I'm going with this, so i'll just leave it at that. GO VOLS!!!

I understand what you mean. My wife is a Clemson U Alum. and i took her to a game at Neyland on halloween VS USCe when UT blacked out that night. My wife has wanted to go back every year since because you cant get that feeling at clemson.

If it were a dude that posted the OP, he'd be getting torched right now.

Good thing it wasn't.

We are looking at a 6-6 season at best, an Alabama dynasty, a surging Vandy, and possible bankruptcy, but I have to believe the worst is behind us. Isn't it? GBO!

Not sure there could be worse things for Tennessee than us sucking, Vandy with their awful fans rising, Alabama having arguably one of the best dynasties in college football history and being in debt...what's next? Hopefully nothing bad (for us) is next...

The bankruptcy thing is way over the top. Most of the debt is for capital improvement long term debt nothing to be concerned about at this point.

That pretty much sums up being a Vol Fan. I do not choose to be a Vols fan. It is just a part of me that will never die. I would rather wear orange and go through the low times then be a bandwagon Bama fan any day. These tough times will only make the ride to the top that much better!

You're right. Feel free to tell me not to be such a girl. I should practice what I preach. :hi:
