Syracuse vs Clemson (merged)

You took him literally? lol. Ok. His point was that you have to show up ready every week no matter who youre playing. It’s true. If you wanna be offended, be offended. That seems to be the culture these days.
No, I took him figuratively. If you want to be confused over a metaphor, by all means..

Dunno about that, Clemson may be worse than anyone realizes.

The Cuse needed OT to beat UConn at home. The following week UConn then lost to the Delaware Blue Hens and that was Delaware's first FBS win ever. Not entirely sold on how good Syracuse is yet
I prefer the opinion that makes TN look better LOL

So it appears the question of the day would be does Dabo make it to season’s end to get fired or does he get fired mid season?
It would cost Clemson 60 million to fire him this season. I seriously doubt they could afford that.

edit: adding detail.

"Swinney's buyout in 2025 is $60 million and only drops to $57 million in 2026. From 2027 on, the buyout is the full remaining salary left on his contract."

Definitely the latter (compared to other seasons). Potentially also the former, but probably need to see them play some more games into their schedule to determine if so.
Syracuse better than expected as long as Angeli was the QB. Looks like he’s probably out so I doubt they’ll be as good. (Somebody said Achilles injury.) It goes without saying that Clemson was severely overrated.

I will be rooting for Bill Belichick for the first time ever when UNC plays Clemson. The problem is that UNC is even worse than Dabo’s litter of kittens. I don’t see how Dabo survives if they drop that game.

Fair enough. So they’re gonna be bottom dwellers for a bit longer. Welcome to the club that we finally graduated from I’d say.

I've always thought of Dabo as Fulmer version 2.0, based on seeing several similarities. This year for Clemson is looking like 2008 version 2.0. Did he say "work like heck" or "we haven't suddenly forgotten how to coach" in today's post game?

I don't care how you perceive Clemson, but going into their stadium with their team's back against the wall and to lead 34-14 in the 4th quarter is impressive. It's unfortunate Angeli was injured as I could see Syracuse as a top 25 team with some more key upsets. Angeli is special when he has time. I think he will grade out well for the NFL. But not much faith in the next guy..

This was a great win for Tennessee. ND with 2 losses and a terrible strength of schedule and Clemson is already eliminated. If Syracuse ends up being a top 2 or 3 ACC team then that definitely helps Tennessee if there is a log jam of teams with say 2 losses (SEC could end up with 4 or 5 alone).
