Arkansas over all has better talent than Syracuse . Not sure bout better than the hogs

It will essentially be a UT Home game with 50K Vol fans and 7k for cuse. I expect Tennessee's defense to hold Syracuse to 17 and The Vols offense, defense, and special teams to put up 38.

I can see that. Arkansas has talent, just not enough. Odd program. Arkansas has potential to be a far better football program but they seem to be stuck in mediocrity, kind of reminds me of Tennessee pre-Heupel.

Yes, they have a chance, but I just do not see us losing to Syracuse. I think they will really struggle to move the ball on us while their defense leaves much to be desired. Not to mention it’s only a neutral site game on paper.

Why would any team not think they have a chance? It's competition. I'd hate it if they went out they're thinking they're gonna get cooked. I would have hated it if our trash teams in the past didn't think they had a chance against a Bama or Georgia.

I was just about to mention this. Their returning offensive production isnt great. Losing their QB, RB, and top WR to the draft, and their 2nd best WR to the transfer portal. Thats almost 6000Yds of offense gone. Not saying we are going to blow the doors off of them, but this will be the best defense they have faced in Coach Brown's Tenure at Syracuse. That being said, 6000yds of offense is going to be hard replace when your first game of the season is against a pretty good defense. This unit has a chance to be Elite. Cuse is gonna find out! Go Vols!

Many are overlooking the job Fran Brown did for Syracuse last season. Syracuse was coming of a 6-7 season getting blown out by USF 0-45 in their bowl game. They didn't have much going for them going into last season but still went 10-3. So, despite losing their top QB and #1 receiver, I wouldn't be surprised if they find the pieces to still perform at a high level..

Angeli winning the QB competition does concern me. He must have performed well with clear separation to be named starting QB over Rickie Collins, who was named starter in Spring camp.
