SWTOR tomorrow

I'm still keeping tabs on SWGemu project - they have come a long way but they are going painfully slow... been going on for atleast 2-3 years as far as I know and still aren't really close to done. They are still missing several major things including the CH class.. but its still fun to get on their Liberty server. It's pre-cu/pre-NGE and its got a stable base of players... will have tons of players as soon as they launch the official server I'm sure.

i remember checking their website out a couple years back and i totally forgot about it. hopefully they finish it up, im sure it would be very popular with SWG vets since the game is shut down now.

My wife has never played video games outside of frogger and pac man. She absolutely hates them, but I hate HGTV so it all works out.

Queues to log in this game are ridiculous - but I guess its better than making un-needed servers and ending up like WAR who had to basically merge down to 4 servers.

Queues will site down in a few weeks. My server says full, but my wife started her toon last night and only waited about 10 minutes in queue.

I made the mistake of choosing the Fatman server during early access and it's probably the heaviest server. I waited 40min to play at 11pm last night.

kids will probably be found dead in internet cafes while playing this game like with WoW. I logged far too many hours in today. I don't understand how people are 50 already though... i worked my fingers off today and only really got a level 10 and a level 14 today.

Coruscant sucks dick - I swear.. it's so spread out.. you'd level so much faster but you're running to quests 90% of the time.

This is one of the reasons that I have stayed away from this game. I know what will happen and I really do like being married and would like to stay that way.

Same here. I don't understand it. In WoW I could rank up from 1 to 20 in one day. In this game it takes me all day just to get up from 12-15. I love the game though. So much better than WoW IMO. I'll never play that game again. Love my ship too.

I'm a level 15 JK, also have a level 11 SI. I like the Sith story better.

yep - what a coincidence. I'm on the republic though.. got a BH merc to 11 and a juggernaut to 11 before switching over since there is so many Empire.

I was really looking forward to this. I beta tested it and honestly was disappointed. Graphics seemed weak. Didn't like how players and NPCs are like ghosts and can move through each other. Too much reliance on the number keys for what I think are basic attack moves. Don't seem to be consequences for not acting like your class should. Didn't buy the game when released. Much more a DCUO fan right now.

I think the graphics, animations, and environment are top 2 or 3 in current mmos right now.

There is rarely collision detection in mmos. It's really rare to have it actually. I like the idea of it - but it can be a real hassle as well.

As for reliance on relying on number keys and/or keybinds - how is that different from any mmo? I don't know of any mmorpg where you just sit there in auto attack and do nothing the whole time.

What exactly do you mean consequences for acting like your class should? And you're going to get carpal tunnel if you play DCUO too long.

The environment graphics are better than the characters. Wish there was more front end customization. Characters tend to look very similar

Is it really rare? Granted, I haven't played every MMOG out there, but SWTOR is the first one I've played without collision detection. In my mind, if the arguable gold standard--WoW--has it, a newer much-hyped game like SWTOR should.

I like the way DCUO handles combat with a balance of mouse click combos and number key strokes. I think they took the approach of WoW a step further.

I played as a JC and was rampaging like a Sith with no repercussions. Doesn't seem right, IMO.

I don't have a problem with it. You get be a dark side jedi without actually being a sith in terms of what powers you know and can use.

I think it helps the game - it would be boring if the only options I could choose as a jedi were good or neutral. My jedi mostly has light side points - but I throw in a dark side action on occasion to either speed up a quest or just felt like it.
