Swiperboy has on his Twitter that he is thinking about trying out at WR after the basketball season.

Any thoughts?

Anyone that has some inside info to confirm if he's for real or just goofing off?

yeah i think were good at WR. But if he wanted to put on about 80lbs and play DT he might have a shot at making the team.

He's playing pretty bad right now, I'll give you that. But the fact that a lot of you won't stop bashing a kid that loves playing for UT is driving me crazy. Who do you want in besides him? The kid can play when he's feeling it.

So when will he "feel it" again? It's been a while since the last time he "felt it."

I remember that ONE time.

Yeah thats a time that if we had Tyler Smith who knows if we would have won that game but Tyler hadnt proven that he was successful shooting outside the way renaldo was that day. He is capable is all Im saying. Remember there was a strecth when fans were calling for Chris Lofton to be benched when he was a senior. I hope Swiperboy gets it done if not then I hope he is successful in whatever he pursues.

He CAN rebound, he's just largely inconsistent in all aspects of his game, much like most our roster. I just don't get all the hate some of these guys. Where's the hate for Scotty? He has all the potential in the world, all of the tools, yet he does nothing with them. Guys like Pearl and Mcbee are at least giving their all out there, yet they are bashed just for being out on the floor. Woolridge, I don't think he's properly used, he shouldn't be shooting threes. He should be slashing. Bruce needs to define some roles. I do think Woolridge could be putting forth more effort, especially off the court.

It not as much the result as the effort. I have seen it in Hopson as well but he still manages to produce most games.

Chism, Hopson, Hall, Maze, Goins, Tatum, Prince, Williams

So you want Chism and Hall to be our only size whatsoever. Play them for 40 minutes, don't even worry about foul trouble.

We already lack size and depth, you watched teams like Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and even Georgia manhandle us with their size advantage. How would not playing Woolridge help.

Jesus people, think before posting.
IMO even Pearl and Mcbee
Sigh....

There's no point in explaining. I've been trying to explain why certain people have been getting PT since January and nobody understands. Just let it go.

I agree....Williams would not count as size.

If you think playing Woolridge somehow helps us on the inside....maybe you should heed your own advice about thinking before posting. Woolridge has NO inside presence whatsoever.

Brian Williams is just as slow as he was prior to the incident. Cousins absolutely destroyed him at one point in the Kentucky game. Woolridge has the same size(height) and more athleticism/speed. Williams should get Pearl's minutes, that's about it. It's evident he's nowhere near game ready. Woolridge has to play, size and depth. 3 big guys is nowhere near enough and you know it.

Your post was moronic. If you don't think Woolridge should play at all then it's evident you need to stick to football.

Whoever posted above that people are looking for a scapegoat nailed it. You can lump all the JP hate in there as well.

This would answer why I thought I saw him at Trecs tonight, though I think it was someone else

Really? Pot, meet kettle.

Since you really think Woolridge is better for size in the post than Williams, I guess we should just turn to those nasty little things called STATS, which are actually objective evidence of a player's success and/or ineptitude.

Williams - 5.1 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 0.7 BPG, 49% FG
Woolridge - 3.9 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 0.4 BPG 30% FG

Now, I'm no big fan of Williams, but it shoudl be fairly obvious that Woolridge is NOT a better option than him. But if you are going to look at those stat lines and try and argue that Woolridge is a better option than Williams for giving Chism & Hall a rest, than I suggest you give up trying out the internet and get back to knuckle-dragging and mouth-breathing.

Bunch of *&@#$ amateurs
